In a visit that reflects the strength of the growing Egyptian economy and the confidence of major investors and international companies in the efficiency of our gigantic national institution, Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, received Mr. Christoph Waterchot, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Belgian Ports Authority of Antwerp and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Ambassador Francois Cornet Delsius, Ambassador of Belgium to Cairo.

The discussions dealt with presenting the Arab vision for industrialization regarding the deepening of local manufacturing, transfer and localization of technology, and training of human cadres.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed to maximize the utilization of industrial, commercial and logistical capabilities between Egypt and Africa by activating the partnership between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Antwerp Ports Authority.

In this regard, the "Terrace" clarified the importance of investing in the depth and strength of relations between Cairo and Brussels and how to benefit from them to enhance joint cooperation in various fields of manufacturing, stressing the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to expand horizons of partnerships and cooperation with major international companies in implementing development projects and increasing Investment opportunities in Egypt.

The Terrace also pointed to the importance of strengthening cooperation in the industrial field in order to benefit from the advanced Belgian technology and industrial capabilities available in the authority to maximize the proportions of the local component and increase the added value in the local industry, stressing the role of Egypt as a main hub and a regional center for transit to the African continent, explaining the possibility of strengthening The role of the Egyptian market as a hub for Belgian products to enter the African continent markets.

For his part, François Cornet Delsius stressed that the Egyptian market is attractive to Belgian investments and is of strategic importance to the Arab and African region, stressing that the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state, enjoys many serious investments and has a promising future and capabilities that make it establish a new phase of cooperation and create good opportunities. during the next stage.

In turn, Christoph Watershot indicated that the Belgian Antwerp Ports Authority is enthusiastic about cooperation and partnerships with the Arab Organization for Industrialization to transfer and localize modern technology and train human cadres in the fields of multi-industry and logistics services, explaining that Antwerp has the potential to attract major investors to cooperate with Arab Industrialization.

He added that we have prepared a marketing plan to raise the marketing and promotional capabilities of container companies in Egypt in cooperation with Arab Industrialization expertise, and provide mechanisms for their implementation in order to increase the market share of these companies in light of the challenges they are currently facing locally, regionally and globally.
