The Minister of Trade and Industry and the President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization discuss enhancing joint cooperation

Lieutenant-general”Abdel Moneim El-Terras," the President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, received  Mrs. "Nevine Jama", Minister of Trade and Industry, who visited the organization this morning at the head of a delegation of the leaders of the Ministry.

This visit comes within the framework of the implementation of the government's plan to maximize the benefit from all available manufacturing capacities in a way that contributes to deepening local manufacturing and increasing the added value of Egyptian products and enhancing dependence on the national industry to meet the needs of the local market, which contributes to the implementation of the state's plan towards import substitution and reducing the deficit in Egypt's Trade Balance.

The talks dealt with a review of the industrial capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its expertise in various fields of industry, including the renewable energy sector, equipment and medical devices, treatment and purification of industrial and wastewater, pumps, electronics, digital transformation, software, communications, information technology, railway and metro mission manufacturing, as well as localization of the means industry Environmentally friendly transportation, electric cars and multiple manufacturing fields.

In this context, Mrs. "Nevine Jameh" affirmed the ministry's keenness to take advantage of the huge and advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, which is one of the most important industrial castles in Egypt, as it has a huge industrial and technological base that enables it to play a vital and influential role in the design and manufacture of products and components that It is imported from abroad, indicating the ministry's endeavor to enhance efforts and partnership with Arab Industrialization to contribute to meeting the needs of the local market of medical products, supplies and devices, especially in light of the precautionary measures taken by the Egyptian government to confront the Corona virus Find and limit its spread.

The Minister of Trade and Industry also praised the plans of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to promote digital transformation and electronic services and the localization of the environmentally friendly electric cars, railways and modern solid waste system, stressing that the authority is a key partner in implementing the national plan for local manufacturing and contributing to achieving the ministry's strategy to promote industrial and export development.

For his part, Lieutenant-general  , "Abdel Moneim El-Terras," reviewed the vision of the Arab Organization for Industrialization on deepening local industrialization and mechanisms to enhance cooperation with industrial institutions in the country in the various fields of industry and training human cadres in accordance with the latest modern training systems, stressing the importance of strengthening joint cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry to implement directives President "Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi" to deepen local industrialization, increase the added value of Egyptian products and reduce imports according to international specifications and standards.

He added that Arab Industrialization puts all its capabilities to manage and manufacture all the needs of the state and industrial institutions to overcome this difficult stage the world is going through and the negative effects due to the precautionary measures to prevent the emerging corona virus.

Al-Terrace also pointed to close cooperation with all research centers and universities to increase the proportions of the local component and the interest of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to expand the horizons of partnerships and cooperation with major international companies in a manner that contributes to transfer of technical expertise and localization of modern technology and training of human cadres.

He pointed out that Arab Industrialization has put export and industrial support in the countries of the African continent a top priority during the current phase, which requires close cooperation and integration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which prepared a comprehensive vision to increase the Egyptian presence in the African continent.

During her inspection of the exhibition of products and manufacturing capabilities at the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Nevin Jameh praised the efforts of the organization to increase the rates of local manufacturing in various fields of industry, stressing that the ministry is fully prepared to provide all facilities and cooperation to achieve the maximum possible use of the Arab capabilities of manufacturing to deepen local manufacturing in industries Nationalism, especially in light of the activation of the law on preference for Egyptian products in government contracts.
