Today, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met with Major General  Engineer/Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to follow up on the executive position of the most important projects in factories and companies affiliated with the AOI, in the presence of Major General Engineer Dr. Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Organization for Industrialization. Management of Kader Factory for Advanced Industries, and Dean of Engineer/ Diaa El-Din Ahmed, Director of the General Administration of Follow-up at the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

 

          The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the efforts undertaken by the industrial arms of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in various fields, as they contribute to deepening local manufacturing, increasing export rates, and thus reducing the import bill and saving foreign currency, in support of the national economy.

 

    The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization indicated that the AOI  is working according to a strategy aimed at deepening local manufacturing, increasing export rates, and raising the manufacturing and technological capabilities of the AOI’s factories, while working to modernize production lines and train engineers and technicians to use modern equipment with high productivity and accuracy, in addition to seeking to attract investments. Arab and foreign countries to develop existing industries and establish new factories, while ensuring the introduction of new industries that are compatible with the requirements of the local market in order to reduce the import bill, as well as cooperation with private sector companies to establish joint projects by exploiting the manufacturing capabilities of the AOI, along with interest in technical research in partnership with... Various research bodies.

   

         Major General Engineer / Mokhtar Abdul Latif added that the partnership between the AOI and other parties is based on a vision based on the AOI’s responsibility to provide land, industrial facilities, labor, and establishing facilities, with the responsibility of the partner party in transferring technology, supplying equipment, and training workers. Providing imported raw materials, monitoring product quality, and technical and marketing management, while considering the partner’s responsibility to export part of the product as a major determinant of any partnership with the AOI.

 

         In the context of reviewing the executive position of the most important projects in the AOI’s factories and companies, the Chairman of the AOI discussed the position of manufacturing polyethylene pipes at the Helwan Advanced Industries Factory, explaining that polyethylene pipes are being produced for water and sewage networks, as well as the production of pipes for natural gas networks, with the manufacture of all natural gas network connections. (2) polyethylene pipe production lines were added, bringing the total number of lines to (12) lines and increasing the production capacity to (103) thousand tons annually.

 

            He touched on the project to manufacture mobile towers at the aircraft factory, pointing out that the implementation of the initial sample of the mobile tower model with a height of (21 metres) was completed after the designs were approved by Etisalat Misr, as it is planned to produce a number (122) similar towers for the benefit of the company, and it was completed. Contracting procedures for the procurement of (2) machines for mass production to manufacture tower components to quickly meet the demands of telecommunications companies.

 

         He also moved to manufacturing pumps in the engine factory, explaining that in light of the political leadership’s directives to deepen local manufacturing, the Digital Manufacturing Center (DMC) was opened in the engine factory, which includes (15) CNC machines with superior capabilities for manufacturing water pumps and atypical spare parts, where they are manufactured. Vertical and submersible pumps for sanitation projects, and splitting pumps for drinking water projects. The percentage of local manufacturing reaches (78%), and the production capacity is (200 pumps per month).

 

           In this regard, he added that with regard to vertical pumps, they have been produced and approved by all parties, and several companies in a number of governorates have been contracted to supply (89) pumps with their engines and the necessary spare parts accessories. Regarding submersible pumps, a protocol was signed with Delta Power as a representative of the Spanish company “Hydro” for pumps, and the engine factory brought parts of a 37 KW pump as a start for assembly at the factory, and they were added to the factory’s product register approved by the National Water AOI. Drinking and sanitation. The first phase aims to deepen the local manufacturing of pumps and supply parts for the pumps to be assembled and tested in the engine factory, where parts for (63) pumps were supplied for (15) lifters for Decent Life projects in the governorates of: Fayoum, Assiut, and Luxor, and the contract is underway. (549) submersible pumps for the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, while the second phase of the protocol aims to increase the percentage of local manufacturing of pump components to adopt them as a local product “Made in Egypt,” and the third phase aims to supply casting molds for the implementation of plumbing in Egyptian foundries while increasing the percentage Locally manufactured components as well as assembly, testing and installation. Split pumps were also produced and approved in the factory.

 

         The Chairman of the AOI also addressed the position of manufacturing non-standard spare parts in the engine factory, noting that a contract had been made with the Mechanical and Electrical Authority to manufacture spare parts for pumps.

Major General. Of the total (10) trains in cooperation with the (Korean) Hyundai Rotem Company, which are planned to be completed in March 2024, he added that the development of the SEMAF factory has been completed by 90% and the rest of the work is being completed.

 

        The Chairman of the AOI discussed the most important activities at the Kader Advanced Industries Factory, which include preparing vehicles for various uses, including fire trucks, ambulances, armored vehicles for transporting money and documents, mobile ATMs, mobile post offices, and mobile technological offices, explaining that (104) have been prepared. Vehicles as mobile technology centers to provide government services for the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. The manufacturing of (130) armored vehicles for transporting funds for the Central Bank of Egypt was completed, out of a total of (154) targeted vehicles, and (77) vehicles for other money transport companies. The factory prepared a sample of the agricultural harvest trailer for the National Service Projects Agency, and the sample was approved in preparation for the manufacture of (60) trailers as a first stage, starting from the first of February 2024.

 

         The Chairman of the AOI also touched on the most important activities of the “ATICO” factory for wood industries, explaining that with the capabilities of the “ATICO” factory and the kader  factory for advanced industries, and in cooperation with distinguished private sector companies, the furnishing of the government district in the New Administrative Capital was completed, and contracts were also made to furnish both councils. Representatives and senators in the New Administrative Capital.

 

           The Chairman  of the AOI  also discussed the most important activities of the electronics factory, noting that a number of (60) types of surveillance cameras were produced, and automated command centers, control and operations rooms were designed, in addition to adding a line for manufacturing electronic cards up to  8  layers to develop research activity, design, implementation and approval. A sample of the radiological detection and measurement device, which is used in ports, airports, and border crossings for radiation detection of imports, in addition to its use in hospitals. In addition to designing and implementing an LNB sample to receive the Nilesat 301 satellite channels that operate on the WRC frequency, and the educational channels of the Ministry of Education, the preparation was completed.          Major General Engineer / Mokhtar Abdel Latif also reviewed the executive position of projects in a number of Arab Industrialization Organization companies, where he discussed the most important activities of the Arab Company for New and Renewable Energy, explaining that it manufactures solar panels, as more than (200) stations have been implemented on Republic level, with a total capacity of about (50) megawatts for the benefit of several parties, in addition to implementing a solar energy station with a capacity of (4) megawatts in the state of Uganda.

 

           Regarding the activity of the British Arab Company for Dynamic Industries, the Chairman of the AOI indicated that it is converting entities to operate on natural gas, as units for converting municipal bakeries to operate on natural gas have been manufactured, installed and operated, with a total of (3,000) bakeries, and completion is underway in cooperation with the Ministry of Supply and Foreign Trade. The company produces safe gas stove valves, as samples of safe gas stove valves were produced and successfully tested and accepted by Italian standard laboratories, and a number of (300) valves were produced for gas stove production factories in Egypt to operate and test, in preparation for the start of mass production at a rate of (2) million safe valves. Annually, a sample of the AOI’s prepaid and smart home gas meter was manufactured, tested and passed, in accordance with the standard specifications required by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), as it is planned to produce (30) thousand meters during the year 2023/2024 as a first project. Quantitative production is expected to reach (2) million meters as of the 2024/2025 budget.

 

          Regarding the most important activities of the Arab German Company for Secured Traffic Plates, the Chairman of the AOI explained that secure traffic plates for all means of transportation are produced, manufactured and supplied for the benefit of the Ministry of Interior, and coordination has been made with the Administrative Capital Company to implement smart numbering plates for buildings and facilities, and in light of the presidential directives to localize and deepen local manufacturing. Samples were carried out, taking advantage of local capabilities and raw materials for manufacturing traffic signs, with the aim of raising the percentage of the local component in traffic signs to (85%).

 

          Regarding the activities of the Arab African Company for Medical Industries, the Chairman of the AOI  explained that high-flow oxygen devices and electric medical beds have already been implemented, and work is underway to implement artificial joints, medical strips and screws, safe syringes, and surgical sutures, pointing out the endeavor to meet the requirements of the local market. Of these supplies and export, he pointed out that a contract was signed with the German company (IMPLANTCAST) to transfer the technology of manufacturing artificial joints (starting with the knee joint) and to obtain a production license under the trade name and trademark and quality certificates (CE) for the parent company with a local manufacturing rate of 95%. A contract was also signed with the Irish company "Go World Pharma" to establish an integrated factory capable of carrying out all manufacturing processes for safe syringes in accordance with the European Quality Certificate (CE), with a planned production capacity of (160) million syringes annually with a 100% local component, where implementation steps are underway. Manufacturers to start production as soon as possible.

Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif also discussed the most important activities of the Arab American Vehicles Company, and the cooperation and coordination that is being carried out with major international companies, to produce a number of different cars to cover the local market and export.

 

           During the meeting, efforts to develop the Integrated Car Maintenance Service Center were mentioned, as Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif explained that the center is being equipped to maintain and repair electric cars, and to provide it with electric charging stations.

 

           The Prime Minister followed up on the activity of the Arab American Vehicles Company, with regard to manufacturing the electric bus, in cooperation with the “Gyushi” company, and the steps and procedures that have been taken in this regard, and the completion of technical experiments related to that.

 

            Regarding the new investment projects planned to be implemented during the coming period, Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif indicated that among the projects planned to be implemented is a project to establish a factory for vehicle tires of various types, which would contribute to providing the needs of the local market, reducing the volume of imports, and working to localize the industry. Tires in Egypt, and opening new markets for export, explaining that it is planned that the factory’s production capacity, according to the feasibility study, will reach 9.6 million tires annually, reviewing the financial and economic feasibility studies that have been conducted for the project, and the volume of these products planned to be exported, pointing out that it is It is scheduled to produce tires for electric cars and buses, as well as the needs required for land reclamation projects, and tires for center-pivot irrigation devices, adding: Tires for the monorail project vehicles will also be produced.

 

          The projects planned to be implemented during the coming period include a project to establish an MDF wood factory made of palm leaves, which is the first of its kind in the world, as it is scheduled to be established in the New Valley Governorate, using German technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, pointing out that the factory will contribute to maximizing the benefit from Palm waste, which constitutes a huge burden on plantation owners and the state, pointing in this regard to experiments and tests in cooperation with a specialized German company, which concluded that it is possible to manufacture high-quality MDF wood from palm fronds that complies with the requirements of European specifications. He added: The project contributes to providing part of the Egyptian market’s needs for MDF wood, which reduces the volume of imports and saves foreign currency.

 

      During the meeting, Major General. Engineer/Mokhtar Abdel Latif referred to the project to establish a factory to recycle used tires, according to the latest environmentally friendly technologies, to produce rubber powder, in cooperation with one of the specialized German companies, with a factory production capacity of up to 50 thousand tons annually. Pointing out that Egypt imports approximately 60% of the products that manufacture rubber granules, and the presence of a factory like this contributes to reducing the volume of imports of these products, addressing the technical, marketing and financial studies that have been conducted, and the expected uses of this factory’s products in various fields. sectors.

 

       The Chairman  of the Arab Organization for Industrialization noted that the used tire recycling plant will contribute to the safe disposal of worn-out tires that are harmful to the environment and cause pollution of water, air and soil. It also works on 100% complete recycling of rubber, iron and textiles, and produces materials with high economic feasibility.

 

         Major General, Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, touched on the studies related to establishing a factory to produce seamless pipes, and the size of the Egyptian market’s needs for these pipes for both the petroleum sector and the rest of the other sectors, such as petrochemical factories, power generation plants, etc., pointing out that there are none in Egypt. Factories that produce seamless steel pipes. All needs are imported from abroad. The presence of a factory like this contributes to meeting the needs of various sectors and exporting the surplus
