The Chairman of the AOI and the Minister of Local Development follow up on the executive position of infrastructure projects for the waste system in the governorates

 

Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, received Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, at the headquarters of the Arab Industrialization Presidency, in the presence of the leadership of the AOI and the Ministry.

 

The meeting witnessed a follow-up on the executive position of the infrastructure projects for the integrated management system for municipal solid waste at the level of the governorates of the Republic, including safe sanitary landfills and fixed and mobile intermediate stations, and the removal of historical accumulations in accordance with the contracts for the first, second, third and fourth infrastructure phases.

The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Minister of Local Development also reviewed The projects that have been implemented on the land of the governorates during the past period, and the supply of equipment for fixed intermediate stations in a number of governorates to quickly complete the delivery of these projects, especially after the completion of 100% construction work.

 

In this regard, Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif stressed the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s mandates to continue the efforts made to activate the new system for managing municipal solid waste, in light of the paramount importance that the state attaches to improving the environmental, health and living conditions of citizens. , reducing pollution rates, as well as establishing a national waste management industry, and providing new job opportunities.

 

He explained that the new waste recycling system project represents a major qualitative leap by finding a radical solution to the garbage problem, and will have repercussions on the sustainable development plan, noting that the established plan achieves sustainability and continuity.

 

He added that the system was designed in accordance with all standard and environmental conditions and specifications, taking into account the cultural appearance. Emphasizing the deepening of local manufacturing of many equipment by benefiting from advanced global expertise in this field.

 

He added that we are partners with the relevant ministries in one team seeking to complete the work successfully, praising the efforts made by the Ministry of Local Development in continuous coordination with all partners in the system.
