Based on its important role in strengthening trade and industrial relations and attracting investments to the Egyptian market in various promising industrial sectors, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the AOI, held important discussions with Mr. Emad El-Sonbaty, Chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, with the participation of representatives from the Chamber's Industry Committee, headed by Eng. Ahmed El-Assar.
During the visit, a number of topics of mutual interest were discussed, including the manufacturing capabilities of both sides, promising investment opportunities in various industrial sectors, the exchange of expertise, and the AOI's vision of increasing the percentage of locally sourced components and localizing technology in accordance with the latest standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as well as the continuous modernization and technological development of manufacturing mechanisms to achieve the goals of the new republic.
The discussions also addressed potential partnerships, leveraging the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and the expertise of French industry in various sectors, including electronics, information and communications technology (ICT), artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, transportation, renewable energy, infrastructure, and other manufacturing fields.
In this regard, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif explained that the AOI is eager to strengthen cooperation and increase investment and partnership opportunities with major French companies in new industrial sectors. This includes participating in development projects, meeting local market needs with products that meet international quality standards and are competitively priced, and opening new export markets.
He also noted the AOI's openness to visits from major French companies and investors to its factories and companies, allowing them to explore the organization's distinguished manufacturing capabilities and discuss ways to enhance partnerships in areas of mutual interest.
For his part, Professor Emad El-Sonbaty, Chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, explained that the Egyptian market is attractive to French investments and holds strategic importance for the African and Arab regions. He noted the keen interest of major French companies in cooperating and partnering with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), the industrial arm of the Egyptian state, across various industrial sectors.
He emphasized a genuine desire to expand cooperation and build partnerships in several technological fields in the coming period.
In turn, Engineer Ahmed El-Assar, Chairman of the Industry Committee at the French Chamber of Commerce, praised the AOI's historical role in Arab and African industry and the advanced manufacturing and technological capabilities of the organization. He expressed his hope for the French Chamber of Commerce to partner with the AOI in numerous industrial and development projects.
