The AOI organizes a scientific symposium on Voluntary carbon market developments

Within the framework of the Arab Organization for Industrialization’s interest in the issue of climate change and environmental protection, it organized today at the AOI’s headquarters a scientific symposium called (Defining Developments in the Voluntary Carbon Market).

 

Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Engineer Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, Director General of the Organization, were invited to participate in attending this distinguished scientific symposium in its treatment of this important issue, in light of the growing concern about climate change and its negative effects, which have led to To increase the use of voluntary carbon markets as a means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

 

All the heads of the boards of directors of factories and companies affiliated with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the advisor to the Director General of the AOI for Quality, Environment, Safety and Civil Health, the heads of the human resources, marketing and technical sectors of the executive body of the AOI, in addition to the directors of the quality sectors and departments of the Arab Organization for Industrialization participated in the event.

 

Through a comprehensive explanation from Dr. Ahmed Rushdi, Advisor to the President of the Financial Regulatory Authority for Sustainable Development and Executive Director of the Regional Center for Sustainable Finance, he indicated that the voluntary carbon market is considered a valuable tool in combating climate change. By providing a means for companies, institutions and individuals to offset their emissions and reduce their impact on the environment, the voluntary carbon market can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and stimulate the development of low-carbon technologies for the voluntary carbon market, thus playing a major role in the global effort to combat climate change and create a brighter future.
