The AOI delivered a new stage of equipment and vehicles to the Ministry of Environment

 

Major General , Engineer "Mokhtar Abdel Latif", Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Dr. "TareK Al-Arabi", Head of the Waste Management Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of Environment, witnessed, on behalf of Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, at the headquarters of the Kader Factory for Developed Industries affiliated to the AOI , the ceremony of handing over a new stage of equipment and vehicles under the slogan "Made in Egypt".

During the celebration, loaders and equipment were lined up to be delivered to the Ministry of Environment, which were assembled and equipped by Kader Factory for Developed Industries

In this regard, Major General., Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, stressed the importance of implementing the assignments of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to continue efforts to activate the new system for managing municipal solid waste, in light of the utmost importance that the state attaches to improving environmental, health and living conditions. For citizens, reducing pollution rates, as well as establishing a national waste management industry, and providing new job opportunities.
He expressed his pride in the positive cooperation with the Ministry of Environment in the project of the new waste recycling system, this giant project that is in line with Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030 and the goals of the new republic.

He explained that this cooperation is continuous and extended between the two sides by providing national products with local components by taking advantage of the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressing the deepening of local manufacturing of many equipment and a modern vision that suits all the needs of this system.
The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization indicated that this project represents a major quantum leap by finding a radical solution to the garbage problem, explaining that the experiences of developed countries have been reviewed in this context, to get acquainted with the latest technologies and methods.
He added that the design of the system was carried out in accordance with all standard and environmental conditions and specifications, taking into account the civilized appearance, pointing out that the Arab Company for Manufacturing provides maintenance and after-sales services.

And within the framework of handing over a new stage of equipment and vehicles to the Ministry of Environment under the slogan (Made in Egypt), from the assembly and processing of the Kader Factory for Advanced Industries affiliated to the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, explained that the delivery of this equipment comes within the framework of the ministry's work to raise the efficiency and improve the system of collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of solid waste, and to provide the necessary equipment to perform these services.

The Minister of Environment added that this comes in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding raising the efficiency of the waste system and its safe disposal, noting that the waste file has witnessed remarkable development over the past 9 years, especially with the issuance of the waste management law and the development of its executive regulations, which is A milestone in the way of safe management of waste of all kinds, and the creation of investment opportunities in it, stressing that the directives of the political leadership were to expedite the implementation of the new waste management system and start with the most densely populated places so that the citizen feels tangible improvement as soon as possible.

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, confirmed that the delivery of equipment and vehicles is a new step in the completion of the waste system, in addition to the completion of the construction work related to the infrastructure, including landfills, some intermediate stations and operating contracts, as part of the planning, organizational and supervisory role of the Ministry of Environment in the new waste management system, as well as the role of the Ministry of Environment. Organizing waste management in accordance with Law 202 of 2020, which aims to organize, follow up and monitor all processes related to waste management at the central and local levels, in order to improve the safe management of waste of all kinds, and overcome current and future challenges.

And she stressed the importance of good follow-up to the process of using the new equipment, its work plans, follow-up and monitoring mechanisms for operations, as well as the equipment that it received to the governorates during the last period to ensure its proper management, operation and better use of it.

The Minister of Environment expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Arab Organization for Industrialization for the continuous cooperation between the organization and the ministry, and the advanced manufacturing capabilities that the Arab Organization for Industrialization enjoys in this field, noting that this comes within the framework of continuing efforts to activate the new system for managing municipal solid waste.
