Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei Technology

lieutenant-general, "Abdel Moneim El-Terras," President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of implementing the directives of President "Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi" for the transfer and localization of technology in the areas of digital transformation and the development of training systems and the development of cadres in the field of information and communication technology, in cooperation with specialized international expertise in these areas.

This came during the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Huawei Technology, which is one of the leading international companies in the areas of digital transformation and training in the areas of communications, smart devices and cloud services.

In this regard, "The Terrace" pointed to the aspiration of Arab Industrialization to hold a true partnership and cooperation with "Huawei" company to develop cadres in the field of digital transformation and smart government services that will be provided to citizens in the digital system, in addition to taking decisions through the system of artificial intelligence.

"The Terrace" said that it was agreed to establish an academy for information and communication technology, to prepare and accredit 12 trainers nominated by the authority in the various fields of digital transformation, which include operating software for network devices (Router-Switch), in addition to information and network security, artificial intelligence, data, and computing Cloud and its applications using the latest global methods and technologies, stressing the importance of cooperation to activate the digital transformation strategy in Egypt and the vision of sustainable development for the year 2030.

He added that the study of implementing training programs for outstanding students in Egypt and Africa was discussed to provide high-quality technical cadres in the field of communications and information for Egypt and the Arab and African region, to meet the changing market requirements and challenges facing the field of communications and information technology.

"The Terrace" expressed its great confidence in the Egyptian youth who are able to absorb the latest technology in succession with capacity and speed, and to interact with these modern technologies and enter the labor market, adding that we are looking to reap the fruits of this cooperation to build the capabilities of Egyptian youth, and deepen the experience and competency system in the digital transformation and sector Communications and information technology in Egypt.

 For his part, Mr. Vincent Sun, CEO of Huawei International stressed the importance of benefiting from the advanced industrial base of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to achieve partnership and cooperation in the areas of digitization and the development of communications and information technology.

He added that Egypt is an important strategic market for Huawei and we are keen to support it in implementing its plan for digital transformation, indicating that the company inaugurated the first Academy for Communications and Information Technology at the end of 2018, and by the end of February 2020 Huawei had launched 47 technology academies in Egypt, and we aim to increase The number of information and communication technology academies to 100 by the end of this year.

"Sun" pointed out that "Huawei" will provide the best and latest specialized solutions in communications and information technology to achieve the digital transformation in Egypt and train Egyptian cadres on this modern technology, explaining that Huawei's cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization in the Information and Communications Technology Academy is based on continuous training for distinguished youth in This field is in the long run, providing enough talents to support the rapid economic development and digital transformation in Egypt and the achievement of the National Strategy 2030.
