Cooperation of the AOI and Papyrus Egypt In the field of environmental protection industries and the green economy

Major General., Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to enhance constructive joint cooperation with national institutions and companies and to benefit from specialized international expertise, pointing to the importance of localizing modern technology, reducing imports and increasing added value in various fields. Industries, with national products under the slogan "Made in Egypt".

This came during the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Papyrus  Egypt, a partnership (Egyptian / Australian), noting that it is a company specialized in the production of modern environmental technologies and scientific research to extract products from agricultural waste, especially bananas, which are available in Egypt throughout the year.

In this regard, Major General , Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, explained that the areas of cooperation include the industries of environmental protection and the green economy, including discussing the conversion of banana tree waste into paper and wood products, textiles, fertilizers, agricultural fertilizers, and organic compounds used in spinning and weaving, and on the other hand, reducing Damages resulting from the accumulation of agricultural residues and the reduction of pollution and the spread of pests and epidemics, which lead to poor agricultural output, as well as the reduction of emissions harmful to the climate, as a result of some people burning them, praising the expertise of Papyrus Egypt in this field.

He added that it was also agreed to take advantage of the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in the manufacture of equipment, machinery, production lines and spare parts necessary to convert banana plantation waste into products suitable for the market, and also to study the establishment of a factory (conversion unit) to convert agricultural waste into various organic products that enter in various fields.

He stressed the AOI 's keenness to enhance cooperation with Papyrus Egypt by implementing several environmentally friendly projects to meet the needs of the local market for various products that are compatible with a clean environment and to bridge the import gap, according to Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030, in addition to that it will open the door for exporting these products to other countries. African and Arab countries in order to maximize the return on the Egyptian economy.

For his part, Engineer Rami Roshdi Azar, Executive Director of Papyrus Egypt, expressed his pride in the cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the state, and its manufacturing expertise in all industries, pointing to its distinction in the fields of environmental protection, as well as the completion of all areas of cooperation in accordance with the latest standards. International quality, speed of implementation and timely delivery, as well as after-sales services.

He added that this cooperation will represent a great addition to the Egyptian economy, especially since we will work on designing and manufacturing equipment and production lines in the AOI ’s factories with Australian expertise and technology, Egyptian thought and creativity, and manufacturing capabilities with the hands of the AOI ’s workers, technicians and engineers, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and projects of common interest.
