Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), received Mr. Iwai Fumio, Ambassador of Japan to Cairo, and his accompanying delegation.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and partnerships and increasing investment opportunities in various manufacturing areas.
This can be achieved by deepening and increasing local manufacturing rates and localizing technology, leveraging the manufacturing capabilities and expertise of the AOI and the distinguished Japanese industry experience in the fields of subway cars, automobiles, environmentally friendly transportation, electronics, digital transformation, software, communications, information technology, renewable energy, and various manufacturing fields.
In this regard, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif explained that today's meeting with the Japanese Ambassador to Cairo was positive, as the AOI looks forward to strengthening joint cooperation and partnerships and increasing investment opportunities.
He also noted the need to explore increasing marketing opportunities for joint products in African and Arab markets.
He added that the Arab Organization for Industrialization enjoys the flexibility provided by its international regulations, enabling it to achieve international partnerships in all industrial sectors.
For his part, Mr. Iwai Fumio, the Japanese Ambassador to Cairo, emphasized that the Egyptian market is attractive to investments and holds strategic importance for the African and Arab regions.
He noted the keenness of major Japanese companies and their aspiration to cooperate and form partnerships with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state, in all diverse industrial sectors, especially given the distinguished and historical cooperation between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and major Japanese companies in many industrial sectors.
He added that relations with Egypt allow for the development of a multifaceted partnership between the two countries, considering Egypt one of our most important partners in Africa and the Arab world.
During the visit, the Japanese Ambassador inspected the Electronics Factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, where he praised the advanced manufacturing capabilities and skilled human cadres at the factory in the field of electronics industries, including television screens, tablets, mobile phones, surveillance cameras, and smart security system technologies and solutions in accordance with the latest international quality standards, digital manufacturing systems, and modern designs that suit all customer needs at competitive prices.
