The Arab Organization for Industrialization signs a cooperation protocol with the Desert Research Center

To deepen local manufacturing of membrane treatment and desalination units

And agreeing to organize the fourth international conference for water desalination

Lieutenant, "Abdel Moneim El-Terras," Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of implementing the assignments of President "Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi" to the authority to deepen local manufacturing of water-treatment and desalination membrane units in cooperation with industrial research centers and universities.

This came during the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Desert Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, in the areas of water treatment and desalination, in addition to signing a contract for sponsoring the Arab Organization for Industrialization to organize the fourth international conference on water desalination during the month of February 2020.

In this regard, Al-Terras clarified that the fields of cooperation include the design and production of water treatment and desalination membrane units of all kinds to meet the needs of development projects and all entities working in the field of water and sanitation, providing the needs of the Egyptian market and exporting surplus to the Arab and African market, praising the advanced research capabilities of the Desert Research Center Which is the national point of contact in the field of water desalination through the National Alliance for Knowledge and Technology and with the participation of a number of factories of the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

He added that the cooperation also includes transferring technical expertise, training human cadres, implementing training programs and providing the necessary support for research and development work and market studies.

"The Terrace" also mentioned another aspect of cooperation that includes an agreement to sponsor and support the Arab Industrialization Authority to establish the Fourth International Conference on Water Desalination organized by the Desert Research Center entitled "The Future of Desalination in Egypt and the Middle East", stressing its importance as a scientific forum that discusses the experiences of Arab countries in the field of desalination and ways Enhancing cooperation and increasing joint investments in the fields of water treatment and desalination in Egypt and the Middle East as one of the most important non-conventional water resources.

For his part, Dr. "Naim Moslehi Muhammad", Head of the Desert Research Center, praised the efforts of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to increase the rates of local manufacturing in desalination and water purification plants, with scientific methods developed to achieve the highest rates of local manufacturing in accordance with international quality systems, expressing the aspiration of the Desert Research Center to expand in areas of cooperation Partnership with the authority and providing all facilities to achieve the maximum possible use of the capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to deepen local industrialization of water treatment and desalination units to serve the country's projects for integrated and sustainable development and to meet the needs of the local and African market.
