lieutenant-general,Abdel Moneim El-Terras," Chairman of the Arab Industrialization Authority, received today, "Ashraf Sobhi", Minister of Youth and Sports, at the headquarters of Arab Industrialization, where they discussed the executive steps to accelerate the implementation of the stages of the "Your bike ... your health" initiative according to international quality standards.

These discussions come within the framework of promoting the National Bicycle Project, in addition to discussing meeting all the needs of the Ministry of Youth and Sports by taking advantage of the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

In this regard, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi expressed his welcome to cooperate with Arab Industrialization, one of the castles of the national industry, praising its excellence in technical expertise and overcoming any obstacles to meet all the requirements of youth and sports facilities with the required efficiency, the highest levels of quality and speed.

"Sobhi" pointed out the importance of the initiative "Your bike ... your health", in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to expand the base of sports practice in all cities and villages of the governorates of the Republic, and make it a way of life for the Egyptian citizen.

The Minister of Youth and Sports explained that the initiative "Your bike ... your health" aims to encourage citizens to practice sport and focuses on two main axes. The first is to improve the physical and health fitness of the citizen through the use of "bicycle", and the second axis is focused on that "bike" is An environmentally friendly transportation.

He added that all the necessary data have been studied to accelerate the implementation of the stages of "your bike ... your health" initiative adopted by the ministry by providing 1,000 bicycles at a subsidized price for citizens, and we aim to increase this number in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization during the first year of the initiative, stressing the availability of bicycles to the public at a price Below the market price and with payment facilities, youth and citizens wishing to purchase bicycles can enter the ministry's electronic portal to fill in the required data and specify the type of bike required.

Sobhi also indicated that the initiative "Your bike ... your health" will be available to all bodies, institutions and individuals in the governorates of the Republic, explaining the importance of the media to raise awareness of the initiative's multiple health, economic and environmental goals.

In a related context, the Minister of Youth and Sports stated that the Ministry is preparing to launch the second batch of the initiative "Your bike ... your health", which is scheduled to include 2,400 bicycles and the door for reservation will be opened and delivered to citizens according to the precedence of reservation via the ministry's electronic portal, noting to discuss cooperation with The Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Ministry of Military Production to manufacture bicycles with an electric motor help young people to cross the 20-kilometer walk by bike, as part of the initiative and the youth and sports program "Your bike ... your health", which will be offered at a subsidized price, such as regular bicycles.

For his part, Al-Terras stressed that the Arab Organization for Industrialization puts all its manufacturing capabilities and technological capabilities to implement President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative to put the bike on the map of the main means of transportation in Egypt and work to localize its industry locally and market it at an appropriate price and with facilities for payment.

He explained that the initiative "Your bike ... your health" represents a great qualitative leap by finding a safe, environmentally friendly way that does not consume energy or fuel and is inexpensive in its repair or spare parts and within the reach of many, as well as being an economic system to provide job opportunities for bike maintenance and distribution

The "terrace" also indicated that the bikes announced within the initiative "Your bike ... your health" is an exclusive Egyptian industry according to international quality standards, stressing that we are targeting Egypt to be a regional center for settling the bicycle industry and exporting it to Africa and the Middle East.

He added that the bike design meets all environmental conditions and cultural appearance and is characterized by quality, durability and attractive shape, stressing the importance of encouraging young people and citizens to acquire it in light of the construction boom that the country is witnessing at the level of the road network and new cities, which takes into account in its planning the determination of special paths and roads for bicycles.

In a related context, the President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization expressed his sincere appreciation to the Minister of Youth and Sports for the fruitful cooperation in developing the sports system, programs, projects and initiatives presented to young people in various fields.
