SEMAF Was Established in 1955 in collaboration of the ministry of Industry with a Belgium company to cover Egypt & Regional & African needs in Railway field (Passenger Coaches, Metro, Tram Cars & Wagons).
In 2004 SEMAF became one of AOI Factories.
The Area of SEMAF Factory is about 150,000m2 , In addition of an extension area (100,000m2) at SEMAF territory as an extension area to be used in the future projects
SEMAF has 1,200 employees & highly qualified Technical Staff in addition of 6,000 employees at A.O.I's factories, working in the same field
SEMAF was established in 1955 to cover the demand for locomotive railway needs in Egypt, regionally & in (including passenger coaches, metros, tram cars & wagons).
SEMAF Factory is the only railway factory in Egypt and the Middle East.
SEMAF Factory’s area is 150,000 m,2 with a possibility of future expansion over an additional also available an extension area of 100,000 m2.
The Factory is located at a central place in Ein Helwan industrial zone. It is registered on the internet among the global locomotive units’ manufacturers.
The Factory was acquired by AOI in 2004 for the purpose of making use of the Organization’s in-house expanded organizational strategy, human and human capacities.
