The Prime Minister is following up on the position of the projects of the Arab Organization for Industrialization

Today, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting with Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization; To follow up the position of the projects implemented by the authority, and the efforts to develop and modernize production lines, in the presence of Major General Issam Arafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Engine Factory, Major General Ismail Al-Najdi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Semaf Factory, Dr. Mohab Mohamed, Advisor to the Chairman of the Authority, and Dr. Ahmed Mekky, Chairman of the Board of Directors The company "Benya".

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the efforts of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in deepening local manufacturing and transferring and settling technology, which President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, is keen to follow up on its implementation in various sectors. To keep pace with global developments in the field of industry, in an effort to support this important field because of its pivotal role in achieving sustainable development goals.

During the meeting, the Lieutenant-General pointed out that the fiscal year 2020/2021 witnessed the achievement of many achievements in a number of the authority’s work files, especially with regard to collecting debts owed to the authority’s units by third parties, in a manner that preserves its rights and resources, as well as taking the necessary measures to rationalize spending and reduce production costs.

Regarding the efforts to modernize and develop production lines, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization indicated that with regard to the electronics factory, he witnessed the replacement of one of the assembly lines for surface components with a capacity of 20 thousand components / hour, with the latest line from the Japanese company “Fuji” with a production capacity of 200 thousand components / hour, which corresponds to With the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as it is characterized by the ability to assemble the precise components that are used with the electronic board of the tablet and mobile, as well as the installation and operation of two lines for the production of tablets, laptops and mobile phones, in cooperation with the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh" Group, adding that the production of a number of 3987 tablets, and contracting procedures for micro-electronic components for 200,000 tablets are underway, to achieve the marketing plan.

The Lieutenant-General  explained that through the modernization and development of the electronics factory, the line of surveillance cameras has been operated, as the production of 10,000 cameras has been completed.

And 1,500 recording devices as a first stage, and it is planned to reach 45,000 cameras, and 13,050 recording devices by the end of this year.

  The Lieutenant-General added that a cooperation protocol was signed with the Ministry of Education to meet the ministry's needs of interactive screens, and a contract is underway with the English "Promethian" company, and the "Si-vision" company to design and manufacture the computer unit (OPS) attached to the screen, in addition to cooperation with emerging companies, And work to encourage innovative youth, by adopting the manufacture and marketing of the initial sample of their products, including what was done with the manufacturers of the smart board.

   The Lieutenant-General  also touched on cooperation with the German company "Dell Meterning" regarding the production of the smart water meter, which works with ultrasonic technology, and is characterized by its rapid collection of data and accurate calculation of water consumption, as well as accurate determination of leakage locations, pointing to the implementation of pilot projects in This connection.

With regard to lighting systems, the Lieutenant-General explained that 3.1 million searchlights were supplied and installed within the national street lighting project at the level of the Republic, adding that street lights and lighting units are being supplied to the "Decent Life" project, with a total of 2,500 lighting units, and the remaining contracts are being implemented according to the requests. .

The  Lieutenant-General  also touched on the position of the Authority's projects in the field of deepening local manufacturing, transfer and localization of technology, noting that among the most important projects that have been completed are the production lines for the manufacture of masks, with a production capacity of 300,000 masks / day with investments of up to 2.5 million dollars, and a production project Smart electricity meters, with a production capacity of 240,000 meters/year, as well as a project to produce surveillance cameras in cooperation with the American company "Honey Well", where the production capacity of the line reaches 30,000 cameras/year from the "Honey Well" product, and 300,000 cameras/year for products. The other, referring to the project of the Arab German Company for insured traffic panels, to manufacture insured traffic panels locally at a competitive price to international prices, where the production capacity is scheduled to reach 3 million panels/year (per shift).

During the meeting, Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras reviewed the executive position for the development of the SEMAF plant, explaining that a number of machines and equipment had been supplied and trial runs were underway.

He added: With regard to the field of ensuring production quality in accordance with international standards, a plan has been drawn up in coordination with one of the companies to qualify the factory to obtain the international accreditation certificate in the field of railways, adding that in the field of information technology, the establishment and equipment of the main data center for digital connectivity has been completed. For production lines and all work activities in the factory.

The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization referred to the development of infrastructure and electromechanical works in line with the demands of developing production lines, as 28 workshops have been completed, and the internal railway network is being replaced and renewed with a total of 13 km.

The Lieutenant-General  pointed out that 10 metro trains are being produced for the third phase of the third line of the metro, in cooperation with an Asian company, and also talked about cooperation between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the French company "Alstom", where negotiations were negotiated with the French company to build a long-term partnership. By identifying modern products in all types of railway moving units and transferring expertise and technology to serve the local market and export abroad.

With regard to the production situation at the Semaf  factory, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization indicated that despite the volume of integrated development work for the factory, the problems of production stoppage and the challenges facing the global shipping market due to the repercussions of the “Corona” pandemic, it has not been completed.
