The ministers of housing and military production and the head of the "Arab Industrialization" are discussing the requirements of the "A Decent Life" initiative

Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting today with Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production, and Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim El-Terras,  Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to discuss procedures for standardized procurement and local manufacturing, and to provide tasks and requirements for the implementation of various projects within the initiative Presidential "A Decent Life", to develop the Egyptian countryside, in the presence of officials of the two ministries, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and the Federation of Industries.

 

The Minister of Housing emphasized that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives confirm the reliance on Egyptian-made local products in implementing the various projects in the presidential initiative "A Decent Life", in order to localize and encourage the Egyptian industry, and provide job opportunities for the local community, which is one of the most important goals of the presidential initiative, as well as The implementation of centralized purchases combined with the needs, which contributes to reducing the cost of implementing these projects.

 

Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar added that contractors have already started implementing projects on the ground in some centers that will be implemented in the first year of the initiative, stressing that the various projects that will be implemented within the presidential initiative "A Decent Life" to develop villages and dependencies nationwide are among those The most important national projects that are currently being implemented at the state level, and are being monitored directly and periodically by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, in order to provide a decent life for the 55 million Egyptian citizens living in rural areas.

 

The Minister of State for Military Production indicated that the presidential initiative, "A Dignified Life," is a great opportunity to localize the industry, rely on local products, improve the quality of local products and upgrade them to be able to compete with imported products.

 

The head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization confirmed that the organization is ready to provide all aspects of support and assistance and reach the best price for the tasks and requirements required to implement this important national project, which will provide a decent life for our people in the Egyptian countryside, as the success of this project is a success for all of us.

 

During the meeting, officials of the Ministry of Military Production confirmed that the Combined Management Committee has been formed, and includes members from the Ministry of Military Production, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and the Federation of Industries. This committee undertakes the task of providing all the needs required for the implementation of projects, and at the prices determined for the combined purchase, from During communication with the Ministry of Housing agencies working in implementing the Presidential Initiative projects.

 

It was also agreed between officials of the Ministries of Housing and Military Production to form a committee from all parties whose task would be to coordinate efforts, accelerate the rates of supply and provide the necessary tasks for implementation, as well as form joint working groups for daily communication and speed of implementation, stressing that this form of cooperation can be generalized in the future. All national projects in order to reduce the cost of implementation and optimum utilization of state resources.

 

The officials of the Ministry of Housing explained that during the meeting, the mechanisms of obtaining the best price for the tasks and requirements required during the project implementation period, the ability of the local industry to produce annual production, and the provision of project needs, were discussed in order to accelerate the project implementation rates and finish it as soon as possible.

 

Officials of the facilities sector at the Ministry of Housing also confirmed that an inventory of the total needs and tasks required to implement the projects of the Presidential Initiative "A Decent Life" was prepared, standardizing the foundations of project implementation, standardizing needs, and enumerating the detailed needs of a number of centers.
