Today, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and with the participation of Mr. Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of the Business Sector, through a registered speech, signed a cooperation agreement between Arabia for Industrialization and IKEN Company for digital technology in The field of integrated digital transformation projects.
The agreement was signed by Major General "Ahmed Abdel Aziz", Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronics Factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Engineer "Hussam Reda" Al-Jamal, Managing Director of "Iqn" for digital technology And that at the headquarters of the Arab Industrialization.
The signing of this agreement comes within the framework of the executive steps to activate the provisions of the joint cooperation protocol that was signed last year, through
A joint alliance agreement to enter together into value-added businesses and projects that benefit from the technical, logistical and investment capabilities and combined experiences of both the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Akin Company for Digital Technology, which have expertise in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, the Internet of things, embedded systems solutions and data center security, which can be maximized Utilizing them by integrating them with manufacturing and operational expertise and the capabilities available in Arabic for industrialization to create added value by using the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and developing development plans, and conceptualizing national projects that adopt these technologies and implementation mechanisms, and identifying and designing products of high technological value that are produced in Arabic for manufacturing to meet all the country's needs of industries. Digital in accordance with national security standards, as well as enhancing the marketing efforts of joint ventures locally and regionally.
In this regard; Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stressed the importance of increasing manufacturing capabilities and building a base of national cadres in the field of technological industries to maximize local manufacturing in order to meet the country's needs, as part of its endeavor to keep pace with digital transformation and the associated applications of advanced technologies.
Dr. Amr Talaat pointed to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s keenness to cooperate with international companies to transfer knowledge and support research, development, creativity and digital manufacturing of electronic applications and products, in addition to implementing many programs aimed at stimulating emerging companies and developing cadres in the field of advanced electronics. The framework for implementing the presidential initiative for designing and manufacturing electronics "Egypt manufactures electronics", which aims to localize the electronics industry by increasing the local component in products.
Dr. Amr Talaat stated that this agreement will contribute to enhancing the expertise and capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in localizing digital transformation technology and employing the Fourth Industrial Revolution techniques in implementing national projects.
Dr. Amr Talaat added that the Arab Organization for Industrialization is witnessing steady scientific steps on the field of digitization and development in various fields, the most important of which is the field of electronics and information technology manufacturing and design; He pointed to the cooperation between the ministry and the authority in a number of projects to build a digital Egypt.
In a recorded speech, Mr. Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of Public Business Sector, welcomed Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and IKEN Company for Digital Technology, stressing that the Ministry of Public Business Sector is currently implementing an ambitious project to install the ERP system (Planning and Management Program Enterprise Resources) in about 63 subsidiary and holding companies, at a cost of about $ 50 million.
Tawfiq pointed out that there are many additional applications needed to increase the efficiency of the production process in the subsidiary companies that integrate with ERP, including, for example, a system for sensors in spinning and weaving machines, which alerts the potential for malfunctions and thus reduces maintenance times, and an operating system in the passenger transport sector. He added that all sectors in the country are working to speed up the implementation of business automation and ERP management to develop certified products and deepen the use of advanced digital technology to develop industrial capabilities, govern procedures and apply quality standards, as well as increase competitiveness and export opportunities.
The "Terrace" expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Communications and its continuous support to enhance the localization of technology for digital transformation projects by relying on manufacturing capabilities and the exchange of experiences between national institutions in the country. Stressing the importance of cooperation with "Iqan", which is one of the leading Egyptian companies in the fields of digital security standards, embedded systems, use of sensors, operating and control systems, and critical infrastructure.
The "Terrace" also explained that it was agreed to cooperate, exchange technical expertise, transfer and localize specialized knowledge to work teams in Arabic for industrialization and help build the expertise required for advanced technology in the fields of digital transformation, archiving, electronic documentation, integrated information security solutions, data center security, digital insurance, operating system security, and developing Digital products, especially in the fields of sensors and smart controls, as well as cooperation in industrial modernization projects using the fourth industrial revolution and its applications using the latest global methods and technologies.
He added that the areas of cooperation also aim to raise the efficiency of industrial projects, production quality, predictive maintenance, reduce waste of materials used and quality of production, and achieve advanced and intelligent technological management and control for infrastructure projects and industrial and agricultural production projects.
