The Prime Minister witnesses the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed today at the government headquarters in the new administrative capital the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority; On the localization of modern technology and local industry to advance technological development in various sectors of the state and support sustainable development plans in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif,

Chairman  of the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

             The protocol was signed by Major General Eng. Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, Director General of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Eng. Hossam Abdel Lah El Gamal, CEO of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority.

             After the signing, Major General Engineer Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim, Director General of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, explained that the Authority is a major industrial and technological edifice, and one of the largest state-owned industrial entities, and plays a key role in implementing the state's plans to support the national economy in the areas of: transportation, infrastructure, The environment, and energy, stressing that the Arab Organization for Industrialization possesses advanced manufacturing and technological capabilities, in addition to testing laboratories and global systems, as well as technical cadres of engineers and technicians with great experience.

   He added that the authority is working to develop its local production, increase competitiveness and replace imported local raw materials, as well as address the challenges facing the national economy in the areas of water and energy, and is working to find innovative solutions to them, through successful functional models with technical and economic feasibility, from By converting existing research outputs into quantitative production.

    The authority official said: We will work, through this protocol, with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to achieve the common goal of localizing advanced technologies in various fields, and developing a number of applications and models with returns to the various manufacturing sector in the country and all other sectors.

 

        For his part, Eng. Hossam Abdellah, CEO of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, indicated that this protocol comes within the framework of the state's national strategy, which aims to meet the challenges of sustainable development plans for the Egyptian society in the settlement of modern technology and local industry; In order to push the wheel of technological development in the various manufacturing sectors, by taking advantage of the prototypes resulting from the outputs of applied research projects, sponsored by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and implemented by Egyptian universities and local research centers, while benefiting from the enormous manufacturing and technological capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Availability of cadres and expertise in the Authority.

 

       He said: We aim through this protocol to coordinate efforts between the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Arab Authority for Industrialization in the field of technological development for civil activities, through the development of a number of applications and models that have a positive impact on the communications and information technology sector in particular, and on all sectors of the state in general. He explained that the two sides will cooperate together in order to provide the necessary competencies and technical, scientific and technological expertise available to each of them; With the aim of reaching industrial products with high added value that serve the country’s sectors in various research fields.

 

         The CEO of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority added that the areas of cooperation between the NTRA and the authority also include participation in the design and implementation of locally-made prototypes with a return on the state sectors, in addition to participating in preparing the prototypes resulting from research projects and preparing them as a local product capable of manufacturing and marketing, as well as the participation of both parties. In research and applied alliances in areas of common interest, in addition to participating in organizing scientific conferences and industrial exhibitions, exchanging experiences and specialized training programs.
