The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) emphasized the importance of:

Maximizing local manufacturing and technology transfer

Reducing imports

Attracting more investments

Establishing partnerships with international expertise

And opening new export markets and outlets under the slogan "Made in Egypt."

This came during the inauguration of several upgraded manufacturing centers at the aircraft factory, coinciding with the June 30th anniversary celebrations.

The inauguration was attended by Major General Engineer Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, Director General of the AOI, Major General Engineer Mohamed Awad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the aircraft factory, and a number of the AOI's leaders, as well as representatives from the French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation and the Chinese aircraft manufacturer CATIC.

During the visit, Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the AOI, inspected the development work and new production lines at the aircraft factory, which represent an investment of approximately 300 million Egyptian pounds. The new surface treatment complex was inaugurated, comprising a surface treatment center, an aircraft parts painting center, a galvanizing center, and an electrostatic painting center. A manufacturing and assembly center for electrical and communications panels was also opened, along with upgrades to employee service centers, including the opening of a radiology center and a physiotherapy center within the factory's medical department.

The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization explained that these new and upgraded production centers aim to bolster and support Egypt's development projects by leveraging the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the aircraft factory.

The surface treatment, painting, and galvanizing complex, which includes four production centers, was also inaugurated:

A hot-dip galvanizing center, covering 2,600 square meters, was developed with the latest technologies to meet local market demands. He emphasized that the primary objective of this center's development is to galvanize aircraft factory products, such as electricity and communications towers, to deliver a 100% ready-to-use finished product and protect it from environmental factors that cause corrosion and rust.

He stated that the establishment of the Surface Treatment Center and the Aircraft Parts Painting Center aims to meet the demands of global aircraft manufacturers, as the Authority's factories are part of the supply chain for the French company Dassault, as well as to fulfill the requirements of the Egyptian Armed Forces and the local market.

He also inaugurated the Electrical Panels and Communications Cabinets Manufacturing and Assembly Center, a facility covering 650 square meters and equipped with the latest technologies for producing electrical panels and communications cabinets, in addition to measuring and final product testing equipment. He noted that the center's establishment aims to contribute to meeting the demands of the state's national development projects across all sectors.

He concluded his tour of the industrial facilities by inaugurating the Electrostatic Painting Center, a facility covering 750 square meters, intended to supply the Electrical Panels Manufacturing Center and support the local market and the factories and companies of the Arab Organization for Industrialization by carrying out electrostatic painting work for some civilian industries, such as painting electrical panels and communications cabinets, in addition to some defense industries.

During his tour, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, expressed his gratitude to officials from both Dassault Aviation (France) and CATIC (China) for their constructive cooperation across numerous industrial sectors.

He also extended his thanks and appreciation to all employees at the aircraft factory, urging them to continue their hard work and dedication, and to maintain a strong team spirit. This, he emphasized, will ensure the achievement of the state's plan to reduce imports, increase the added value of industry, and promote the "Made in Egypt" brand.
