Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel latif, Chairman of the AOI, received His Excellency President Félix Tshisekedi of the sisterly Democratic Republic of Congo and a high-level delegation.

This visit comes within the framework of the successful steps taken by the AOI to enhance partnership and cooperation and increase the volume of intra-African trade with sisterly African nations.

During the visit, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation mechanisms and leveraging the advanced capabilities of the AOI to meet all the needs of development projects and defense and security industries in the sisterly Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as identifying proposed areas of cooperation between the two sides in various manufacturing fields.

In this regard, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with African countries and implementing the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to open new horizons for cooperation and integration with African brothers in all industrial and economic fields, and to open new export markets in Africa.

He expressed his pride in the shared relations between the two countries and the importance of continuing coordination and joint work, and strengthening cooperation ties by opening new avenues. He also noted the AOI's interest in participating in the implementation of development projects in the sisterly Republic of Congo, one of the Nile Basin countries.

During his inspection of the AOI's product exhibition, the President of the sisterly Democratic Republic of Congo expressed his admiration for the advanced manufacturing technologies in the AOI's defense products, including armored vehicles, troop carriers, defense systems, fire trucks, cash transport vehicles, ATM vehicles, mobile technology centers, and medical equipment.

He emphasized his country's keenness to strengthen partnership and cooperation with the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt in all industrial and developmental fields, noting his pride in this visit to the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state. He also highlighted the importance of coordinating efforts with the organization to achieve integration and localize the latest manufacturing technologies in all areas of mutual interest.

Furthermore, he expressed the Democratic Republic of Congo's deep appreciation for the Arab Republic of Egypt and its leading role in the African continent, as well as its efforts to meet the aspirations of its people for development and prosperity, particularly in light of its effective contribution to advancing joint African action, especially with regard to promoting intra-African trade and investment.
