The AOI is keen to enhance cooperation, partnership, and investment across all manufacturing sectors.
In this context, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the AOI, held talks with Mr. Armen Sarkissian Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Cairo, and his accompanying delegation.
During the visit, the AOI's vision for deepening and increasing local manufacturing, transferring and localizing technology in various industrial sectors was presented, including human resource training.
The discussions also addressed establishing partnerships, leveraging the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the AOI and the expertise of Armenian industry in defense and civilian industries, including electronics, information and communications technology, artificial intelligence, automotive manufacturing, transportation, renewable energy, water treatment plants, and various other manufacturing sectors.
In this regard, Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif explained that the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) is looking forward to strengthening joint cooperation and increasing investment and partnership opportunities with major Armenian companies in new industrial sectors and participating in the implementation of development projects. He noted that they are studying ways to increase marketing opportunities for joint products in African and Arab markets.
He indicated that the AOI welcomes visits from major companies and investors from the Republic of Armenia to its factories and companies to learn about the organization's distinguished manufacturing capabilities and explore ways to enhance partnerships in areas of mutual interest.
For his part, Mr. Armen Sarkissian, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Cairo, explained that the Egyptian market is attractive to Armenian investments and holds strategic importance for the African and Arab regions. He pointed out the keen interest of major Armenian companies in cooperating and establishing partnerships with the AOI, the industrial arm of the Egyptian state, across various industrial sectors.
He affirmed his country's genuine desire to expand economic cooperation with Egypt, expressing his readiness to build partnerships in several technological fields in the coming period.
