Major General Eng. Mohamed Abd Elfatah Abo Bakr , Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), received Engineer Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry.
This visit comes within the framework of serious steps to implement Egypt's Sustainable Development Vision 2030, which aims to maximize the utilization of all manufacturing and production capacities in the civilian industrial sectors in cooperation with the AOI. This will contribute to deepening local manufacturing and localizing technology for Egyptian industry to meet the needs of the local market, thereby increasing the added value of national industry, reducing imports, and increasing export rates.
The discussions addressed the manufacturing capabilities of the AOI, the state's industrial arm, and its expertise in various defense and civilian industrial fields. The AOI's important role in designing and manufacturing products and components currently imported from abroad, and meeting the needs of industrial sectors according to quality standards, was also discussed.
In this regard, Major General Eng. Mohamed Abd Elfatah Abo Bakr , Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), expressed his readiness and pride in serious and constructive cooperation with the Ministry of Industry on joint projects. He emphasized the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to expedite the execution of manufacturing plans and targeted projects, in accordance with the state's plan to deepen local manufacturing and localize technology.
For his part, Engineer Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, affirmed that the AOI is a long-established industrial institution and a strategic pillar for the Egyptian state in achieving the goals of deepening local manufacturing and localizing modern technology. He pointed out that the AOI possesses engineering capabilities and resources, including advanced production lines capable of adapting to the latest global industrial developments, making it a pivotal partner for the Ministry of Industry in implementing its plans and objectives for comprehensive and sustainable development.
The Minister of Industry praised the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its efforts to increase the percentage of local manufacturing and localize technology in various industrial fields, noting that cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization opens promising prospects for linking scientific research with industrial application, strengthening partnerships with the private sector, and supporting the ability of Egyptian products to compete in regional and international markets.
