Launching the production lines for the first Arab product of tablets and laptops in partnership between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Group

Today, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mrs. Nevin Jamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Dr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Group, witnessed the inauguration of production lines for co-manufacturing devices. Tablets and laptops according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The event was also witnessed by Dr. "Ahmed Daher," Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education, and Major General A. H. Mohamed Zalat, head of the Industrial Development Authority, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Karim, head of the Industrial Modernization Center, Eng. Ahmed Makki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bunia Capital, and Eng. Mohamed Mohsen, President of IVision.

In this regard, Dr. Amr Talaat praised the partnership between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Group, which represents a successful model for integration between the governmental and private sectors to enhance the efforts made to localize the electronics industry. Stressing that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is working according to a specific strategy to make Egypt a leading regional center in the field of electronics design and manufacturing, in implementation of the presidential initiative, Egypt manufactures electronics that aims to deepen local manufacturing, create added value for manufactured products, and strive to double Egyptian exports of electronics.

Dr. Amr Talaat explained the efforts made by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to create an attractive environment for world-leading companies to establish and operate new factories in Egypt in the electronics industry, pointing out that cooperation is taking place with international companies to invest in minds and build capabilities with the aim of preparing national competencies in the electronics industry and design. He pointed to the ministry’s cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization to take advantage of the distinct manufacturing capabilities and capacities that the authority possesses, in light of constructive cooperation with all state agencies and institutions to implement Egypt's digital strategy.

Mrs. Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships with international technology companies to transfer advanced industrial technologies to the national industry, noting that the project to locally produce tablets and laptops represents a fundamental pillar for the start of manufacturing advanced electronic devices in the Egyptian market to meet the needs of the local market and export to regional and global markets.

 

Jameh pointed to the interest of the political leadership in transferring and settling modern electronic industries with the aim of preparing the Egyptian industry to enter the fourth industrial revolution, noting the importance of making use of the great potential and components of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in the development and development of technological industries in Egypt.

 

The minister said that the localization of modern industrial technologies and technologies in the national industry contributes to improving the quality of the Egyptian product and increasing its competitiveness in the local market and regional and global markets, pointing to the Ministry's endeavor to provide the Egyptian industry with advanced solutions and technologies in the field of digital transformation and automation solutions and the provision of trained technical workers to meet the needs of the industrial sectors.

 

Al-Terras confirmed the Arab Industrialization plan to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to deepen local manufacturing and reduce imports of educational system facilities, computers, tablets, laptops, smart laboratories and modern electronic devices, expressing welcome to cooperate with Talal Abu Ghazaleh Company and praising its manufacturing capabilities and expertise. In the field of producing tablets, laptops and electronic industries according to international quality standards.

Al-Terras explained that we are celebrating today the launch of production lines for the tablet and laptop industry in partnership with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group and the localization of modern technology in this field by taking advantage of the distinct industrial and human capabilities of the electronics factory of the Arab Industrialization, indicating that the Arab Organization for Industrialization aims, with this cooperation, to produce a product. Arabic under the slogan Made in Egypt to meet the needs of educational and training institutions in Egypt in terms of tablets and laptops, with the future expansion in the export markets of the African and Arab market with high-quality products at competitive prices in accordance with international quality standards.

He added that Arab Industrialization contributes to the components of manufacturing in a large percentage, provided that the percentage of the local component increases in the coming years, stressing that this partnership represents an important step to deepen local manufacturing and localize the technology of manufacturing tablets and laptops in Egypt and the Arab and African region.

In a related context; The President of Arab Industrialization expressed his great confidence in the Egyptian and Arab youth who are able to absorb the latest technological technologies in succession in the world of electronics, communications and information technology, stressing that the Arab Organization for Industrialization puts all its manufacturing energies to promote the development and modernization of education plans for Egypt and its Arab and African brothers according to the latest smart technological technologies.

For his part, Dr. "Talal Abu Ghazaleh" praised the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its advanced capabilities that qualify it to localize the technology of modern electronic industries that can be developed and innovated, expressing his great pride in the partnership with this ancient official Egyptian institution in which we are proud of its Egyptian Arab national history.

Abu Ghazaleh also confirmed that Talal International Group has transferred and localized modern technology, supplied the latest production lines and smart electronic components in partnership with Arab Manufacturing and trained human cadres of employees of the authority’s electronics factory on the manufacture of tablets and laptops, in accordance with international quality levels and the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
