Exporting is a strategic objective to which the AOI gives special importance, achieving continuous success through enhanced cooperation, partnerships, and attracting investments, within the framework of Egypt's Vision for Sustainable Development 2030.
In this context, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the AOI and Vinicius Nigeria. It was signed by Major General Engineer Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, General Director of the AOI, and Mr. Saifullah Babangida, CEO of Vinicius Nigeria.
During the signing ceremony, Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the AOI, emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with sister African nations and implementing the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to open new horizons for cooperation and integration with African brothers in all industrial and economic fields.
He noted that an agreement was reached to cooperate in meeting some of the needs of the Nigerian Ministry of Defense, praising the industrial expertise of the Nigerian company, Vinicius , one of the largest private sector companies in the sisterly Republic of Nigeria, operating under a license from the Nigerian Defence Industries Corporation (DICON).
He explained that this cooperation aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two sides through technology localization, knowledge transfer, increasing local manufacturing, and training Nigerian personnel in various manufacturing and maintenance tasks, leveraging the advanced capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its training academies.
He added that an agreement was reached to establish mechanisms for implementing all matters of mutual interest, according to clear timelines, and to work on opening new export markets to African and Arab countries within the framework of government contracts.
In a related context, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) expressed his pride in the strong relations between the two brotherly countries and the importance of continuing coordination and joint action, as well as strengthening cooperation by opening new avenues for joint manufacturing and production of defense and civilian industries, and participating in development projects in the sisterly Republic of Nigeria.
During a tour of the AOI's product exhibition, Mr. Saifullah Babangida, CEO of the Nigerian company, Vinicius and members of his accompanying delegation expressed their admiration for the advanced level and quality of AOI products across various defense and civilian industries.
They emphasized their country's keenness to enhance partnership and cooperation with the AOI, the industrial arm of the Egyptian state, to achieve integration, localize the latest manufacturing and production technologies, and manufacture imported goods by optimally utilizing the manufacturing capabilities of both sides. They also stressed the importance of coordinating efforts to achieve integration and partnership on matters of mutual interest.
