Discussions of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Electronics Research Institute

Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, Chairman  of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of partnering with the Electronics Research Institute to exchange experiences and support the state’s efforts to increase the proportions of the local component and the added value of Egyptian products, reduce imports and localize technology, stressing that opportunities for the Egyptian industry to return to its leadership are now available in light of the follow-up The ongoing programs of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to deepen local industrialization and transfer and localize technology in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

This came during the visit of a delegation from the Electronics Research Institute, headed by Prof. Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, Acting President of the Electronics Research Institute, and a number of prominent scientific figures at the Electronics Research Institute.

In this regard, the "Terrace" clarified that the Arab Organization for Industrialization has a clear vision to deepen local manufacturing, transfer and localize technology in many different fields of industry, including, for example, electronics, tablets, laptops, surveillance cameras, smart meters, digital transformation, as well as medical industries, desalination plants, water purification and sewage Renewable energy, pumps, railways, converting aging cars and converting them to environmentally friendly cars using natural gas and other various fields of industry.

He added that they discussed strengthening the partnership between Arab Industrialization and the Electronics Research Institute and starting to count production inputs to study their manufacture locally, benefiting from scientific research at the Institute, and forming joint working teams to study needs and develop implementation mechanisms at specific times, both with regard to the manufacture of investment goods and components that are imported from abroad. .

Al-Terras pointed to the importance of strengthening joint cooperation to research successful models of technical and economic feasibility at the Electronics Research Institute and other universities, centers and research bodies, which can be applied at the industrial level by converting research outputs to the scope of quantitative production, to achieve Egypt's Vision 2030.

In a related context, the "Terrace" referred to the study of benefiting from the prominent scientific figures at the Electronics Research Institute through the Academy of the Arab Industrialization Organization for Training, where it holds specialized training courses in all fields of industry, management, electronics, information systems and communication technology in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

 

During an inspection of the Arab Industrialization Products Exhibition, Dr. Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram praised the manufacturing and technical capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization as the country's industrial backer for the settlement of modern technology, expressing the aspiration of the Electronics Research Institute to enhance cooperation with Arab Industrialization to build a national scientific and technological base, in digital industry techniques through development and technological innovation.

 

The delegation of the Institute also visited the Academy of the Arab Organization for Industrialization for Training, where they were briefed on the latest modern digital training systems, smart automated management mechanisms, and training on programmed machines according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
