Discussing feasibility studies for establishing a factory for producing all kinds of vehicle tires

Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production, and Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and with the participation of Mr. Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of the Business Sector, through video conference technology, discussed the operational steps and economic feasibility studies for the establishment of a tire production plant of all kinds, to be established in partnership Between the Ministries of Business and Military Production and Arab Industrialization.

 

 

 

The talks took place via video conference with the German "Ronald Burger" company, one of the international consulting firms based in France, which was assigned to prepare the marketing, financial and economic feasibility studies for the auto tire project.

 

 

 

In this regard, Minister "Hisham Tawfik" affirmed that the feasibility studies discussed come in light of a joint vision between the Ministry of Business Sector, the Ministry of Military Production and the Arab Organization for Industrialization to unify efforts and achieve integration in the tire industry and revive and deepen this industry locally in accordance with international quality standards.

 

He emphasized that this cooperation is a step on the right path to promoting such kind of local investments and providing national products to global markets, to meet the needs of the local market and to replace tire imports in addition to exporting abroad.

 

The minister indicated that discussion of feasibility studies will be completed in a subsequent meeting between the three parties, and ways to finance this huge project will be determined.

 

 

 

The Minister of State for Military Production also clarified that the feasibility studies discussed have many positive aspects, indicating that this cooperation reflects the complementarity between "military production" and the various industrial entities in the country, including the Ministry of Business Sector and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressing the ministry's complete keenness to direct the industrial and technical capabilities The technological and human resources available to the companies and their units to implement the various national projects in the country that benefit the citizen and the national economy of the country.

 

Minister Morsi pointed out that establishing a factory to manufacture tires of this size is a vital national task to meet the needs of the armed forces and reduce the import of tires to various civilian agencies, which will positively affect the provision of foreign currency and the strengthening of the Egyptian economy.

 

 

 

For his part, "The Terrace" stressed the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to strengthen constructive cooperation between state institutions and the exploitation of national manufacturing capabilities, noting the importance of strengthening efforts to deepen local industrialization, transfer and localize modern technology and work to reduce imports, in a way that contributes to increasing the added value of products. Egyptian.

 

The "Terrace" explained that all aspects of the feasibility studies submitted by the international "Ronald Burger" company were discussed and researched, which was tasked with preparing the marketing, financial and economic feasibility studies for the auto tire project, regarding the establishment of a strong national industrial alliance for the manufacture of vehicle tires of all types, including passenger and transport cars. Al-Terras confirmed that all operational steps are being taken to establish the factory, explaining that this cooperation provides many job opportunities for young engineers and technicians and training on the latest technology according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

 

He also praised the efforts of the Ministries of Business and Military Production to deepen local industrialization and transfer and localize global technology, stressing that this cooperation is a step on the right path for Egypt to become a regional center for the manufacture of car tires to achieve self-sufficiency for the Egyptian market in accordance with the standard specifications of the Egyptian Standards and Quality Authority and then open new markets for export to countries.
