Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, received Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, Eng. Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Major General  Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Engineer Muhammad Al-Suwaidi, President of the Federation of Industries, this came at the Ministry's general office.

At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din, Minister of State for Military Production, welcomed the guests, pointing out that the meeting aims mainly to review the industrial, technological and technical capabilities available in the ministries (military production, public business sector, trade and industry), the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Federation of Industries in light of the presidential directives that She stressed the importance of increasing cooperation between ministries, the private sector and various Egyptian industrial bodies to achieve industrial compatibility and integration so that the same product is not repeated in more than one party or overlapping in terms of reference occurs, stressing the importance of continuous coordination and fruitful and constructive integration between the five agencies and optimal utilization of national manufacturing capabilities, including It achieves comprehensive and sustainable development by preparing a data bank that includes the capabilities available in each party.

Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, indicated that there is serious cooperation between the three ministries, as well as the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Federation of Industries to take advantage of the available resources and the technological and human capabilities available in each party, which contributes to achieving an added value for the Egyptian economy, expressing his aspiration to give a greater impetus to strengthening joint cooperation. between the five parties and the achievement of a promising strategic partnership that will positively return to all parties and achieve their common goals to implement the mandates of President Sisi to make the utmost effort to advance the interest of the country, continuing that transparency in cooperation is the most important steps we seek, and affirming the Egyptian government’s belief in the need to involve the private sector in The national projects that are being implemented and increasing the opportunities available to investors.

 

In turn, Engineer Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, confirmed that the ministry is working in full swing to restore Egyptian products to their position, develop existing industries, and raise the competitiveness of the various industrial sectors, stressing the importance of agreeing on a roadmap for integration and industrial thinking that benefits the country and aspires to increase exports. He pointed out that the international changes that the world is currently witnessing and their economic repercussions affected the countries of the world, including Egypt, and imposed many challenges that require continuous diligent work with a strong will to strengthen the Egyptian economy system and provide it with the flexibility required to face any crises that may arise in the future, stressing the importance of The three ministries, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and the Federation of Industries to identify all their tools, capabilities and good management to maximize the output of those capabilities and develop their method of work in order to achieve the maximum possible benefit from them.

For his part, Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, indicated the authority’s keenness to implement Egypt’s vision 2030 and the goals of the new republic, including achieving integration between the various state institutions, within the framework of the belief in its national role as an important industrial backer for the state and its participation in the implementation of national and development projects. And achieving the state’s plan to return the Egyptian industry to its leading role in the region, pointing out that despite the negative repercussions of the recent global challenges, the comprehensive political leadership’s vision of economic reform, developing state institutions, launching mega projects and encouraging the private sector to invest greatly contributed to the steadfastness of the Egyptian economy in front of those challenges, which we seek to further enhance during the coming period.

For his part, Eng. Mohamed El Sewedy, President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, stressed the Federation’s keenness to support the efforts of all industrial institutions in the country in upgrading the industrial sector through the exchange of visions and cooperation with the private industrial sector to reach tangible steps to support the national industry in the latter, pointing in this context to the end of the Federation From preparing a comprehensive vision of all the necessary reforms at the level of all industrial sectors to drive industrial growth and stimulate foreign direct investment in the industrial sectors.

Al-Suwaidi pointed out the importance of preparing studies on the economic impact of any new burdens imposed on the industrial sector and measuring their feasibility, in addition to the necessity of activating the law of preference for local products in government purchases, as well as in implementing national projects, as this will reflect on increasing the productivity of factories and providing job opportunities.

It was also emphasized during the meeting that the five parties are rich in many manufacturing and technical as well as technological capabilities of (metal forming and working machines, heat treatment furnaces, surface treatment lines, paint lines, metal foundry lines, production lines with large production capacity, .. and other things).
