Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, received a high-level delegation comprising a large group of ambassadors representing half of the African countries accredited to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The delegation was attended by Ambassador Wael Shehata,Advisor Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for African Affairs.
In this context, Major General Eng.Mokhtar Abdellatif emphasized the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to expand partnerships and capitalize on the depth and strength of relations between Cairo and sister African countries, enhancing joint cooperation in various manufacturing fields, exchanging expertise, training human resources, and participating in various development projects.
He expressed his pride in the African delegation's visit, considering it an important opportunity to enhance the true image of the potential and capabilities of Egyptian industry and its development within the framework of the new republic. He emphasized his appreciation for the role and importance of diplomatic work in promoting economic cooperation, trade exchange, and increasing investment, especially with the incentives Egypt currently offers to investors in various sectors and industries.
During the visit, the Arab Organization for Industrialization's strategy for implementing Egypt's Vision for Sustainable Development 2030 was presented, focusing on deepening local manufacturing, technology transfer, and localization. It also highlighted the latest ongoing projects in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as well as human resource training.
He noted that the organization is already participating in the implementation of numerous development projects in several African countries, including renewable energy and water management projects, among others. He also noted that the organization is meeting the needs of African markets with products that meet international quality standards and are competitively priced.
He pointed out that the Arab Organization for Industrialization is utilizing all its manufacturing capabilities, advanced technologies, and training and educational systems to serve the development goals of African countries, focusing on cooperation based on technology transfer, joint manufacturing, and human resource development.
He added that, based on the Arab Organization for Industrialization's commitment to supporting clean energy sources in Egypt and the African continent, the organization has paid special attention to renewable energy projects. It has already implemented a (4) megawatt solar power plant in Uganda, and another plant is currently being implemented in Djibouti, reflecting our commitment to supporting the renewable energy infrastructure on the African continent.
He also emphasized that the AOI is open to cooperation in various industrial fields and is making its capabilities available to our brothers on the continent, out of its belief that our strength lies in our integration, and our progress lies in our joint cooperation to build a better future for our peoples. For his part, Ambassador Wael Shehata, Advisor Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for African Affairs, emphasized that many African countries are constantly seeking to enhance cooperation with Egypt in various fields of manufacturing, training, and technology transfer. He noted that major African public and private companies attach particular importance to strengthening cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) in all areas of industry.
During their inspection of the AOI's product exhibition, the delegation of ambassadors from sister African countries expressed their admiration for the organization's distinguished products and advanced manufacturing capabilities across defense, security, and civilian industries.
They emphasized that the Egyptian market is attractive to investment and is of strategic importance to African and Arab countries.
They praised the AOI's role as an industrial backer of the Egyptian state, its many serious investments, its promising future, and its capabilities to establish a new phase of cooperation and create strong opportunities in the coming period.
At the conclusion of the visit, they inspected the AOI's Arab Renewable Energy Company, where they were briefed on the organization's most important projects and listened to explanations from the company's engineers and technicians regarding the stages of its advanced solar panel production lines, the latest machinery, and cleaning methods. Solar panels and the Authority's various manufacturing capabilities in the field of renewable energy.
They also inspected the Arab Organization for Industrialization's solar power plant at the headquarters of the Arab Renewable Energy Company, which is connected to the national electricity grid.
They viewed the station's fixed and mobile panels and expressed their admiration for the advanced solar panel cleaning methods designed, implemented, and maintained by the AOI's human resources.
