The Prime Minister is following up the plan to localize Egypt's needs industry with national projects

Today, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up on the plan to localize the industry of our needs in national projects, in the presence of Dr. From the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces.

At the outset of the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed that there is a directive from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to rely on national industry, in the water and sanitation projects that will be implemented in the villages within the framework of the second phase of the presidential initiative "A Decent Life", especially the pumps. That there is an effort by the Arab Organization for Industrialization in this file, and different types of pumps have already been produced.

 The Prime Minister also stressed the need to limit the needs to the 50 centers nationwide, which will witness the implementation of the projects of the second phase of the presidential initiative, with an emphasis on providing all the components of the stations through the national industry, whether governmental or from the private sector. There is an immediate contract to provide these components, indicating that water and sanitation projects cost about 60% of the projects that will be implemented to raise the efficiency of the services provided and improve the quality of life for the people of the villages.

The Prime Minister also referred to the importance of coordination between the Ministry of Transport and the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to provide for the needs of the different railways, especially train cars, through the SEMAF company.

Counselor Nader Saad, the official spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said: During the meeting, the capabilities of the engines factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization were reviewed, which qualify it to contribute to the local manufacturing of water pumps, as it was indicated that the factory has distinguished human cadres and high technology capabilities. Some of them are for the benefit of serving the state's national projects, including the manufacture of water pumps with different capacities and capacities for the benefit of water stations, including sewage treatment, drinking water purification, and water desalination, and a team of engine plant engineers has been formed to localize the pump industry in coordination and cooperation with some centers Research and Egyptian universities.

It was indicated that the factory succeeded in producing "pumps" with different capacities up to 500 liters / second, and raising up to 60 m, with a local manufacturing rate of 78%, and the production capacity reached 50 pumps per month. These pumps have been reviewed and approved by the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation. Health Authority, and many related bodies, and have been registered with the Industrial Development Authority.

Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras explained that 4 pumps, with a capacity of 200 liters / second and a height of 30 meters, have already been manufactured for the benefit of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, for the Nag Hammadi station in Qena Governorate, in addition to their electrical panels. November 2020, as well as 6 pumps, including 2 power pumps 270 liters / second and 50 meters high, and 4 power pumps 200 liters / second and 25 meters high, for the benefit of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Marsa Matrouh, and started work from November 2020.

The President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization also presented the executive position for the development of the Semaph plant, which seeks to modernize production lines with the latest machinery and various equipment, and to develop the infrastructure and engineering of the factory in line with the modernization of production lines, in addition to adding a production line for passenger wagons according to the specifications of the railway authority to serve the local market And export markets, with deepening the local manufacturing of bogies, feeding industries and interior fittings, and keenness to own a modern and sophisticated design for mobile units such as passenger carts, power carts, wagons, goods, while developing the ability to design various mobile units.

He pointed out that the development of the CIMAF factory also aims to rehabilitate the technical personnel in all specialties, and to restructure the factory to meet the requirements of modernizing production lines, in addition to electronic linking of all sectors of the factory and work cycles and digitization of production lines, as well as qualifying the factory to obtain international accreditation certificates, to be A distinguished international factory capable of competing in the global market, in order to achieve raising the production capacity of the factory to 1000 vehicles annually (passengers / strong / goods / metro / tram) instead of 300 vehicles.

The axes of the SEMAF plant development process were reviewed, including providing it with advanced equipment according to the latest technology in this field, and efforts to raise capabilities in the field of design and development, and ensure the quality of production in accordance with international specifications.
