Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to promote digital transformation and electronic automation for all educational and governmental institutions, as well as achieving integration between universities, scientific research centers and national industrial institutions, in order to achieve the state's plan to deepen industrialization. He added that Arab Industrialization puts all its capabilities and technological expertise to promote digital transformation and manage all the needs of colleges and research centers affiliated with Pharos University.
This came within the framework of signing a cooperation protocol between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Pharos University, based in Alexandria.
According to the aspects of the protocol, Engineer Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electronics Factory, explained that it was agreed to meet the needs of Pharos University in many areas, including digital transformation, electronic mechanization, various educational aids, computers, laboratories, electronic display screens, surveillance camera systems, electronics, networks, computers and furniture. Administrative and educational, solar plants, energy-saving systems, smart water-saving systems, sports equipment, medical supplies, medical and hazardous waste incinerators, environmental protection equipment and many other fields to serve the university’s development plans and strategies.
He added that the areas of cooperation include training and support for research projects and industrial innovations that are applicable to serve the various manufacturing sectors, organizing training courses in common areas and training programs in various engineering disciplines in the production and research units of the authority, as well as training human cadres in Arabic for manufacturing in specialized courses at Pharos University.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, President of Pharos University in Alexandria, expressed his confidence in the success of this cooperation, due to the continuous support provided by the Arab Organization for Industrialization to various scientific institutions in the fields of training and scientific research to transform research outputs into applied models that can be used in various industrial fields. .
Mohieldin also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with Arab Industrialization, in order to serve digital transformation plans, as well as meeting all the university's needs, praising the authority's excellence in quality, accuracy and commitment to delivery times in accordance with international quality levels.
