Continuing successes and clear steps with a sound scientific vision pursued by the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to enhance cooperation and partnerships and attract investments to the Egyptian market in various promising industrial sectors, as well as increasing export rates and the national product of the national economy.
In this context, important discussions were held today between Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Mr. Alexei Bogdanov, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Belarusian side of the Joint Egyptian-Belarusian Trade Committee, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Mr. Sergei Terentiev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Cairo.
These discussions come on the sidelines of the seventh meeting of the Egyptian-Belarusian Joint Committee, which is being held in Cairo.
In this regard, Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif expressed his pride in the serious discussions with the Belarusian delegation, pointing out the AOI ’s interest and welcome in partnership and opening new areas for investment and cooperation, especially in light of the availability of an attractive and promising climate for investments that Egypt is currently witnessing, in addition to enjoying... The Arab Organization for Industrialization has the flexibility provided by its international regulations.
He explained that a number of topics of common interest and manufacturing capabilities of both sides were discussed, as well as the many investment opportunities in various fields of industry and the exchange of experiences, and emphasis was placed on the vision of the Arab Organization for Industrialization that it is pursuing to increase the proportion of the local component and localize technology in accordance with the latest standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as well as modernization and development. Continuous technology for manufacturing mechanisms to achieve the goals of the new republic.
The discussions also addressed the extent of the possibility of concluding partnerships, by taking advantage of the manufacturing capabilities of Arabic for Industrialization and the expertise that the Belarusian industry enjoys in many industries, including railways, the automobile industry, environmentally friendly means of transportation, agricultural machinery, silos, trucks, agricultural tractors, furniture, engines, elevators, and various manufacturing fields.
He added that the production of joint products was discussed and the most important target markets were identified to meet the needs of the local market, as well as increasing export opportunities to African and Arab countries and the Belarusian market, pointing out the agreement to continue mutual visits and discussions on topics of common interest.
On the sidelines of the discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the field of implementing and developing research projects to serve various industry requirements, in topics of common interest, especially the areas of water treatment, electric means of transportation, agricultural equipment, tire recycling, and safe disposal of waste. And many other topics.
For his part, Mr. Alexei Bogdanov, Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus , expressed
his appreciation and pride in the important discussions with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, pointing to the study of taking advantage of the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Industrialization Company to be an industrial hub for joint industrial products, and enhancing the targeted trade exchange movement and export rates to African and Arab countries during the coming period, indicating Belarus’ aspiration to cooperate with Egypt to enter the market. Africa is an ideal partner for joint cooperation, as Egypt is the leading country in the region of African and Arab countries.
In turn, the Senior official of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences praised the advanced manufacturing, technological and research capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, pointing out that the joint cooperation comes within the framework of the transfer of science, technology and training to achieve a long-term strategic partnership, in areas of common interest in accordance with international quality systems and in a manner commensurate with the various fields of industry.
Mr. Sergei Terentiev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Cairo, , also praised the strength and durability of the historical relations between Egypt and Belarus, pointing out the importance of strengthening partnerships and cooperation and opening new areas of investment during the coming period between Arab Industrialization and major Belarusian companies and institutions in all various fields of industry.
