The Prime Minister witnesses the inauguration of the Digital Manufacturing Center at the "Arab Organization for Industrialization" engine factory

Today, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed the inauguration of the Digital Manufacturing Center at the Helwan Engine Factory, affiliated to the “Arab Organization for Industrialization”, in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Samir, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif,Chairman of  the Arab Organization for Industrialization

During the ceremony held on this occasion, Major General. Engineer Mokhtar AbdelLatif, Chairman of the “Arab Organization for Industrialization”, in his speech, that the opening of the digital manufacturing center comes within the framework of implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to increase local manufacturing rates and deepen the industrial base of the organization, expressing his appreciation To honor the Prime Minister inaugurating this center, as a new entity that joins the engine factory of the “Arab Organization for Industrialization”, and is the culmination of continuous efforts and partnership between the authority and the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and in cooperation with major international companies, to achieve leadership in the localization of pump manufacturing technology of all types uses; This is in order to meet the needs of the Ministry of Housing and development projects in the country in terms of pumps of all kinds, in addition to exporting to African and Arab countries, as well as providing many job opportunities for young engineers and technicians.

 

Major General. Engineer Mokhtar AbdelLatif: We have benefited from the engine factory and its expertise in this field. To localize this advanced technology; Where different types of pumps were produced with different capacities and energies, and they were approved by the “National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater” and registered with the “Industrial Development Authority”, including “vertical lift pumps” used in sewage plants, under the name “Cleopatra Pumps”, The experimental production of "split pumps" used in water plants under the name "Nefertiti pumps" has also been carried out, pointing out that the "Arab Organization for Industrialization" aims to establish a digital manufacturing center, to localize pump manufacturing technology of all types and uses entirely in Egypt, according to international standards of accuracy and quality, With a local component rate of up to 78%, and a production rate of 200 pumps per month, under the slogan “Made in Egypt”.

 

During his speech, the Chairman of the "Arab Organization for Industrialization" said: "From here - from the engine factory - one of the factories of the" Arab Organization for Industrialization ", we dedicate this success, thanks to God Almighty, to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in order to support and follow up his permanent and relentless efforts by the Authority in its various fields of work.

 

The Chairman of the "Arab Organization for Industrialization" also thanked the Prime Minister for the support the organization receives from the government, to achieve its pivotal role in the national industry sector, as it

The Chairman of The AOI  praised the fruitful and successful cooperation between the "Arab Organization for Industrialization" and many success partners, led by the Ministry of Housing, and its continuous support with technical expertise, training of human cadres according to the latest digital manufacturing systems, as well as the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, and its sincere cooperation to increase work and development rates. continuous modernization of pump manufacturing mechanisms to meet local needs; In order to export it to the markets of African and brotherly Arab countries, he also expressed his gratitude to the University of Alexandria, as a research and advisory body for the project, to localize manufacturing technologies, as well as conducting market studies for the target product locally and abroad. He also paid tribute to everyone who contributed to the preparation and operation of this project, and to each Who contributed and is contributing to advancing the development of this great country.

 

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister watched a documentary film about the digital manufacturing center at the engine factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, which included a presentation of the center's goals and the role it plays in localizing the manufacture of a number of products that are used in national projects.

 

After the unveiling, marking the opening of the Digital Manufacturing Center, the Prime Minister and his entourage inspected a section of the center, listening to a presentation by Major General Jamal Ramadan, Chairman of Engine  Factory, during which he explained that the decision of the presidency of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to establish the center came With the aim of raising production capacity and increasing manufacturing capacities, and in response to the directives of the authority’s political leadership to raise the production capacity of the water pumps factory from 25 to 200 pumps per month, to cover the needs of major national projects, most notably the Century Project, the presidential initiative “a decent life” to develop the Egyptian countryside.

 

The Chairman of  the factory confirmed that the center is the latest in Egypt, with a complete industrial digitization system, and the requirements of digital transformation, which includes a group of digitized operation centers, which reach up to 5 axes, carrying out all operating work, which contributed to reducing the manufacturing time of the pump, from 38 1 hour on traditional machines, to 2 hours and 20 minutes on programmed digital machines.

 

Major General Hamed Makkawi, Director of the Production Sector at the Engines Factory, explained that the center is characterized by accurate production, high quality, and excellent after-sales service, in addition to the latest machines for measuring the dynamic balance of rotating parts, in addition to the presence of assembly stations, with a capacity of up to 7 daily pumps.
