Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), received Mr. M. Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof , Minister of Defense of the Republic of Gambia, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hatem Raslan, Ambassador of the Republic of Gambia to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the visit, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation mechanisms and leveraging the advanced capabilities of the AOI to meet all the needs of development projects and defense and security industries in the Republic of Gambia. They also identified proposed areas of cooperation between the two sides in various manufacturing fields.
In this regard, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with African countries and implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to open new horizons of cooperation and integration with our African brothers in all industrial and economic fields, and to open new export outlets in Africa.
He expressed his pride in the joint relations between the two countries and the importance of continuing coordination and joint work, strengthening cooperation ties by opening new areas in all defense and security industries. He also highlighted the Arab Organization for Industrialization's interest in participating in development projects in the sisterly Republic of Gambia.
During his inspection of the Arab Organization for Industrialization products exhibition, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Gambia affirmed his country's keenness to strengthen partnership and cooperation with the sisterly Republic of Egypt in all industrial and development fields. He expressed his pride in this visit to the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state, and emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to achieve integration and localize the latest manufacturing technologies.
