Major General Eng. Mohamed Abd Elfatah Abo Bakr , Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), received H.E.Mr. Evgueni Sobolevski., the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Cairo, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and partnership mechanisms across defense and civil industries—including silos, tractors, agricultural machinery, water treatment, furniture, medical industries, and others. They also explored the participation of Belarusian companies alongside the AOI in localizing industries prioritized by the State.
In this context, Major General Eng. Mohamed Abd Elfatah Abo Bakr stated that the AOI looks forward to enhancing joint cooperation with major Belarusian companies to deepen local manufacturing capabilities and localize technology.
He added that the AOI prioritizes attracting investments, exchanging expertise, and fostering cooperation with global companies from friendly and allied nations. This approach relies on local manufacturing that meets the highest international quality standards, in alignment with Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy: Vision 2030.
He further noted that Egypt represents a promising and attractive market for global companies, particularly given its strategic geographic location, which positions it as a regional hub for manufacturing and exporting products to African and Arab nations.
For his part, H.E.Mr. Evgueni Sobolevski , Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Cairo, commended the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and its ambitious vision to increase local manufacturing rates across various sectors—an approach that encourages major Belarusian companies to engage in cooperation and the exchange of expertise. He emphasized that the aim of his visit is to discuss establishing new, long-term partnerships spanning all industrial fields and human resource training.
