The AOI is taking successful and continuous steps to strengthen cooperation with all governorates, considering it the optimal path to achieving comprehensive development.
In this context, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the AOI, held discussions with Ms. Hanan Magdy, Governor of New Valley Governorate.
The discussions focused on utilizing the AOI's available manufacturing capabilities to meet all the needs of comprehensive development projects in New Valley Governorate.
These projects include manufacturing and supplying vehicles for youth employment projects in various advanced forms, developing infrastructure, equipping smart classrooms, and implementing environmental protection projects. These projects include a solid waste recycling system, manufacturing environmentally friendly kilns for producing charcoal, agricultural waste processing machinery, water and wastewater treatment and purification, environmentally friendly transportation, recycling electronic devices and wood, upgrading mechanical equipment in the governorate's districts and centers, and numerous other comprehensive development projects.
Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), explained that the latest developments in manufacturing MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) from palm fronds were reviewed, along with the procedures for establishing the Arab Company for Compressed Wood Industries. This initiative is a collaboration between the AOI and the New Valley Governorate, in coordination with the Waste Management Authority of the Ministry of Environment, to maximize the utilization of palm products and waste.
He clarified that the production of the factory currently under construction will play a significant and positive role in saving foreign currency by reducing reliance on imported compressed wood and meeting the local market's needs for various wood products. He noted that this industry relies entirely on locally sourced raw materials from the New Valley Governorate.
For her part, Ms. Hanan Magdy, Governor of the New Valley, praised the advanced manufacturing capabilities of the AOI and all aspects of the existing cooperation between the two parties. She highlighted the AOI's distinguished technical expertise and its ability to overcome any obstacles to achieving all areas of cooperation efficiently and within the required timeframes, in accordance with international quality standards.
She stressed the importance of concerted efforts and investing all the capabilities of our national institutions, foremost among them the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the state, which possesses a huge industrial and technological base that enables it to play a vital and influential role in designing, manufacturing and meeting all the products and components that are imported from abroad, which will positively impact the support of development projects and plans in the governorate.
