Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, witnessed the signing of an agreement to produce organic fertilizer from plant and animal waste between the Arab British Dynamic Industries Company (ABD), one of the AOI's companies, and the Agricultural Research Center (ARC), affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture.
The signing ceremony was attended by Major General Eng.Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, General Director of the Arab Organization for Industrialization; Dr. Eng. Khaled Shukry, Advisor to the Chairman of the AOI for Chemical Industries; Major General Yasser Attia, Chairman of the Arab British Dynamic Industries Company (ABD); and Dr. Adel Abdel Azim, Head of the Agricultural Research Center.
In this context, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellatif expressed his appreciation and pride in the constructive and ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture in various industrial fields, including agricultural manufacturing projects, agricultural mechanization, modern water-saving irrigation methods, environmental protection, and other manufacturing fields.
He emphasized the Arab Organization for Industrialization's commitment to implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to leverage national manufacturing capabilities and maximize the "Made in Egypt" slogan.
He emphasized the importance of investing in natural resources to achieve environmental sustainability, which contributes to creating new job opportunities and improving the standard of living for rural residents.
He pointed out that biogas technology aims to reuse organic waste (plant and animal) in an economical and safe manner to produce new, renewable energy.
This involves producing products of economic value and disposing of them safely through manufacturing and creating added value.
In a related context, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdellation with the Ministry of Agriculture, various public and private sector companies, and scientific research centers to implement numerous environmentally friendly projects to meet the needs of the local market at competitive prices for various products that are compatible with a clean environment and adhere to international quality standards.
In his speech during the signing ceremony, Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, thanked Major General A. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), emphasized the fruitful and constructive cooperation on all joint issues between the Ministry and the AOI.
He noted that there is extensive cooperation between the AOI and the Ministry in a large number of areas of mutual interest, all of which aim to support sustainable development efforts in Egypt. He noted that the AOI is a great institution that we all, as Egyptians, are proud of.
Farouk emphasized that this cooperation is imperative for the advancement of Egyptian agriculture and the empowerment of local industry. He emphasized the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Research Center's commitment to providing all necessary support to expand agricultural manufacturing and environmental protection projects.
This is in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to localize imported industries to provide the country with hard currency and reduce its import bill.
The Minister of Agriculture directed the Ministry's leadership to remove any obstacles to the partnership with the AOI, with immediate effect, implementing the agreement.
He emphasized the importance of agricultural manufacturing in achieving added value to the gross domestic product, providing job opportunities, and opening new export horizons that contribute to bringing hard currency to Egypt.
