Signing of contracts for the new waste system to serve 18 districts in Cairo governorate

In implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic and the mandates of the Prime Minister to quickly implement the new system for managing solid municipal waste in all governorates of the Republic, to improve the level of hygiene and achieve citizens' satisfaction.

The ministers of local development, planning, economic development, financial and environment, the state for military production and the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization witnessed the ceremony of signing Cairo governorate contracts for services for collection, transportation, street cleaning and public facilities from solid municipal waste for the neighborhoods of the eastern and western regions with the two companies upgrading integrated services and waste recycling for the western region and Enviromaster For environmental services and waste recycling for the eastern region .. and the signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Local Development, where the governor of Cairo and the head of the Hygiene and Beauty Authority signed the first contract with Dr. Yousrya Loza, Chair of the Board of Directors of (Irtiqa) Company. The governor and head of the authority also signed the second contract with Nasser Sayed Eid, Chairman of the Board The management of the "Enviro Master" company. The signing ceremony was attended by a

number of leaders of the ministries, the governorate, the Hygiene and Beauty Authority, and the two companies.

 

On his part, Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, affirmed the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding raising the efficiency of the waste system and its safe disposal, and taking measures to preserve the environment, through a new system for integrated waste management.

Al-Terras added that Arab Industrialization participates in the implementation of the system in cooperation with the Ministries of Local Development, Environment and Military Production, and "The Terrace" indicated that the experiences of developed countries in this regard were reviewed, in order to learn about the latest technologies and methods, stressing the deepening of the local manufacturing of many equipment by making use of Advanced global expertise in this field, taking into account the design of the system, taking into account all environmental conditions and the civilized appearance.
