African Union Conference on the Private Sector Forum The President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization honors the African Industry Pride Award

Within the framework of the Forum of the African Union Conference on the Private Sector, whose activities were launched today under the slogan "Made in Africa", Lieutenant-General "Abdel Moneim Al-Terras", Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, was honored with the African Industry Pride Award.

 

It is noteworthy that the African Union Conference for the Private Sector is organized by the African Business Council in cooperation with the African Union Commission for Economic Development, Trade, Industry and Mining and hosted in Cairo by the Egyptian Businesswomen’s Association from 10-12 November 2021 in cooperation with the African Conference on Entrepreneurship for Women and Youth.

 

Today's conference activities witnessed an intense presence of a number of important personalities, including Dr. Amani Asfour, President of the African Business Council, and Ambassador Albert Muchanga, Chairperson of the Commission for Economic Development, Trade, Industry and Mining, Commission of the African Union.

Dr. Benedict Orama, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export-Import Bank (Afriexim), and Mr. Stephen Carnegie, Director of the Department of Trade and Regional Integration at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, in addition to a number of African personalities and stakeholders in African affairs.

 

As part of honoring the Chairman of the Arab Industrialization, Lieutenant-General Al-Terras affirmed that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, has placed cooperation with African brothers at the forefront of its concerns, believing that Africa, with its natural and human wealth, deserves to be an oasis for global investments.

 

He added that this interest extends across all ministries, entities and institutions in Egypt, noting that we in the Arab Organization for Industrialization are honored to accomplish a huge number of projects, train African human cadres, conclude agreements and contracts and put them into effect with Africa, according to the principle of win-win partnership for all parties, as well as the principle of Justice and due appreciation for the capabilities of Africa's intellectual, human and natural wealth.

 

The Ultras also emphasized an important message to all parties present under the umbrella of the African Business Council, related to the importance of transforming words of appreciation and praise into a great ambition and action to increase the balance of investment and productivity, noting that Africa must take its rightful place on the world map and become an effective partner in the global economy.
