The Arab Organization for Industrialization is taking successful and ongoing steps to localize new technology, increase local manufacturing rates, reduce imports, and increase added value in various industries. It is also attracting investments in partnership with major global companies, all within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development.
Among these steps is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Arab Organization for Industrialization's ATICO Wood Industries Factory and one of the largest global Chinese companies operating in the smart furniture industry.
In this context, Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, explained that this cooperation represents an important step towards deepening local manufacturing and localizing the latest technologies for manufacturing smart furniture and related accessories, utilizing the advanced manufacturing capabilities and trained human resources at the Arab Organization for Industrialization's ATICO Wood Industries Factory.
This will, for the first time, localize the manufacturing of this type of smart furniture within the Arab Republic of Egypt, contributing to meeting the needs of the local market, reducing reliance on imports, and opening up export prospects to regional markets. He noted that the agreement will begin implementation steps for manufacturing according to clear timelines.
It is worth noting that the design and manufacturing of the components of this technologically advanced industry are carried out in accordance with international quality standards and at competitive market prices, representing a significant contribution to the Egyptian economy.
