Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, said that agriculture was and will continue to be one of the most important development resources on the African continent, noting that President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi stated during his assumption of the presidency of the African Union a vision that would be far-sighted if it was implemented, the continent would be a source of food in the world.
This came during the conference organized by the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association under the title (Modern Egyptian-African Agriculture is the future of food security and sustainable development in light of the epidemic crises.
He added that the authority places all its capabilities in all strategic industries, including renewable energy, water, protected agriculture, agricultural machinery and information technology, in front of the African brothers, to work together to serve the brown continent, and is in the interest of the economies of the cooperating countries.
The terrace indicated that the African countries have many capabilities that are not available in other places of raw materials, natural resources and animal wealth, pointing out that the authority has sought to activate cooperation with African countries, and 3 solar power plants in Uganda and Eritrea are currently being implemented with a capacity of 8 MW.
He noted that the strategy of the authority is to train human cadres through the largest and most recent training center in the Middle East and deepen local manufacturing, transfer and localization of modern technology in partnership with major international companies in many areas of industry, pointing to the authority's willingness to participate in African infrastructure works in the field of water, whether Drinking or treating wastewater or desalinating sea water.
And the terrace stated that the authority has great experiences in digital transformation and information technology and has partnerships with an Egyptian and American private sector company to produce optical fibers, which is an essential part of technological infrastructure, as well as cooperation with three major companies, including Siemens and Huawei, in a center that we digit product lines.
He pointed out that the authority is ready to sign a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association in order to cooperate in many fields in Africa, including agriculture, labor training and African engineers.
