President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Major General Eng. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Abu Bakr    , Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), and Major General Walid Hassan El-Kurdi, Director of the Armed Forces Vehicles Department.

The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the President inspected various types of trailers used for technical support operations. These trailers were manufactured entirely domestically within Armed Forces facilities, utilizing state-of-the-art design and production systems, with a focus on maximizing their versatility. The President also examined several vehicle models slated for local development and production in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Industrialization. He received a detailed briefing from the Director of the Armed Forces Vehicles Department on the design and manufacturing phases, which highlighted significant advancements in this industrial sector—aligning with the latest global standards. Furthermore, certain vehicle models were tested as part of the state’s broader initiative to expand the manufacturing and production of electric vehicles.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the official spokesperson, noted that during the meeting, the President reviewed the ongoing coordination and cooperation between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Armed Forces Vehicles Department. These efforts are aimed at localizing industries, reducing reliance on imports, and establishing a dedicated chamber for defense industries. In this regard, the President emphasized the necessity of upgrading the technical support system and keeping pace with the latest technological advancements in the manufacturing and development of technical equipment and vehicles—serving both the military and civilian sectors—with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in various spare parts. He further directed efforts toward attaining self-sufficiency in the production of military vehicles and equipment, while also developing the capacity to export certain models to friendly and allied nations.
