The Prime Minister is following up efforts to provide the needs of the projects being implemented, especially pipes

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting today; To follow up on the procedures and efforts to provide the needs of the development and service projects that are being implemented, especially pipes, and others, in the presence of Eng. Tariq El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al Taras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and officials of the concerned authorities.

 

The Prime Minister began the meeting by noting that today's meeting comes to follow up efforts to increase the volume of production of pipes that are used in the implementation of infrastructure projects "water - sewage - natural gas", in order to meet the increasing demand for these pipes, in light of the growing construction sector projects And construction, as well as the implementation of the projects of the presidential initiative "a decent life", stressing that the state is currently working to provide raw materials used in the manufacture of pipes, and to increase local manufacturing capabilities.

The Minister of Petroleum indicated, during the meeting, that work is being done to provide the raw materials required for the manufacture of pipes, as well as to increase the production capacity of factories, in addition to increasing production lines, with the aim of fulfilling the obligations set for the implementation of various development and service projects, in light of what we are witnessing a great boom in Implementation of these projects that require doubling the volume of production of polyethylene pipes in particular, used in drinking water, sewage, or natural gas projects, noting that coordination is also done with the concerned authorities to import quantities that may be needed.

 

For his part, Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras affirmed the authority's constant endeavor to meet the needs and requirements necessary to implement the major projects that are currently being implemented, especially the projects of the presidential initiative "A Dignified Life", noting that work is currently being done to increase the manufactured quantities of pipes used in the implementation of these projects. The projects, in addition to establishing more production lines and expansions in the existing factories, to meet the increasing demand for such products.

 

The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization drew attention to the efforts of the Authority to increase the volume of the product from polyethylene pipes, explaining that it was contracted to supply new production lines, bringing the production volume to 79,000 tons annually at the end of the fiscal year 2022/2023, noting that during the last five years, production and supply were carried out. Welding and testing pipes of different diameters and pressures for development and service projects implemented by the state, with quantities of up to 128 thousand tons.

 

Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras pointed out that modern technology is used in the management and follow-up of production lines for polyethylene pipes, including with regard to automatic feeding of raw materials, control of operation and product quality, follow-up of faults, and automatic control of pressures for the same diameter without stopping the lines.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister indicated that an expanded meeting will also be held with factories affiliated with the private sector that produce polyethylene pipes, to follow up on the production plans of these factories, and proposals for their expansions during the coming period, in order to meet the increasing demand for those pipes, in addition to working at the same time. itself to secure and provide the needs of raw materials.
