Arab Industrialization Agreement for the overhaul and maintenance of turbines from the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation

Engineer Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al Taras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, witnessed during the activities of the second day of the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2022) the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation for the manufacture, overhaul and maintenance of turbines.

Al-Mulla stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, praising its role as a distinguished industrial backer for the state in implementing various industrial and economic development projects, pointing to his confidence in its technological and human expertise that enables it to complete all areas of cooperation with the required efficiency and the highest levels of quality and speed in implementation and delivery on time. specified

The Terrace stressed that the memorandum comes in implementation of the President's directives to make optimal use of national capabilities for industrialization, deepen local manufacturing, and localize and develop modern technology according to the latest quality standards. He also stressed his pride in cooperating with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, praising its long national history in the field of petroleum industries and services and skilled technical and human capabilities.

 

Al-Terras explained that it was agreed with the Petroleum Authority to exploit the manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and its distinguished expertise in the field of engine overhaul, to carry out all overhauling, repair and maintenance of turbines of all kinds at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, according to the latest international quality standards, instead of sending engines and their accessories abroad. To perform Umrah and maintenance, and then contribute to increasing the added value of the national industry.

 

He added that the aspects of cooperation extend to the provision of original spare parts for each turbine of different types and the necessary maintenance work through an accredited team specialized in the maintenance and overhaul of turbines of various types.

 

The agreement was signed by Eng. Ayman Emara, Executive Vice President of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, and Major General Essam Arafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Industrialization Engine Factory.

Emara praised the advanced manufacturing capabilities and human competencies of the Arab Industrialization Engine Factory, in the field of overhauling, repairing and maintaining turbines and engines of all types and uses, which have been updated in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, noting that the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation has strict quality requirements, which are what are achieved.
