The Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Moneim Altras commended President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's participation in the 23rd edition of Cairo International Communication and Technology Exhibition and Conference "Cairo ICT 2019", saying his participation in the conference serves as a great morale booster for the organization's workers to do their best for developing local products, Tarras said.

The event saw the signing of several cooperation protocols between the AOI, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Egypt's Post Authority, said a statement released by the organization on Tuesday,

The deals come part of the state's strategy for promoting local products and strengthening constructive cooperation among public institutions at various levels, the statement added.

Altras noted that the organisation's pavilion at the expo attracted a large number of major international companies seeking to keep abreast of the AOI state-of-the-art systems and expertise in several areas, including digitization, electronic archiving and information technology.

On Sunday, President Sisi opened the Cairo ICT 2019, in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait and Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfiq.
