Deepening the local manufacturing of vehicle conversion kits to operate on natural gas

 

 

 

Lieutenant-General "Abdel-Moneim Al-Terras", Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of implementing the directives of President "Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi" to strengthen constructive cooperation between the state's industrial institutions and to exploit national manufacturing capabilities to deepen local manufacturing and localize technology for manufacturing operating equipment and converting vehicles to work with natural gas, benefiting from experiences global specialist in this industrial field.

 

This came during the signing of the tripartite cooperation protocol between Arab Industrialization, the Italian international company "Westport", and "Jazz Tun", one of the Saad El-Din Group companies.

 

Under the new protocol, vehicle conversion and operation kits to operate on natural gas will be manufactured through one of the Arab Organization for Industrialization companies, and technology transfer, training, research and development will be carried out through the Italian international company "Westport".

 

In this regard, the “Terrace” clarified that with this cooperation we aim to deepen the manufacture of all working groups for operating and converting vehicles to work with natural gas, by exploiting the national manufacturing capabilities, in partnership between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Saad Eddin Group of Companies and the Italian global experience in this field.

 

The "Terrace" indicated that it was agreed to increase the proportions of the local component to save the expenses of importing components that enter this industry, and to work on reducing imports to save huge amounts of hard currency, and to localize this industry, in a way that contributes to strengthening the state's plan to operate and convert vehicles to work with natural gas, according to the statement. To international quality standards at competitive market prices.

The "Terrace" stated that the areas of cooperation aim to meet the needs of the local market, national projects, and future expansion to African and Arab markets.

 

For his part, Mr. Marco Semandi, Vice President of Westport, indicated that the company is looking forward to a partnership contract with Arab Industrialization to transfer and localize modern technology and train human cadres in the field of operating groups and converting cars to work with natural gas, as well as enhancing marketing opportunities for joint production to meet the needs Growing in the local market and the Arab and African regions.

 

In turn, Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Din, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saad El-Din Group of Companies, praised the pivotal role played by the Arab Organization for Industrialization in introducing the latest production technologies and deepening local manufacturing in accordance with international quality standards.

He pointed out the importance of strengthening cooperation with Arab Industrialization to reduce the economics of manufacturing car starter kits to work with natural gas, within the framework of the government's direction to enhance all efforts to convert vehicles and operate them to work with natural gas.
