Localization of technology in the defense industries in cooperation between Arab Industrialization and the Chinese international company Norinco

Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership with global expertise, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to the Authority on the importance of localizing technology and increasing the proportions of the local component in the defense industries.

 

This came during the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Arab Industrialization and the Chinese international company Norinco, within the framework of the activities of the fourth day of EDEX 2021.

 

The Terrace indicated that the memorandum of understanding with the Chinese international company Norinco for the transfer and settlement of technology and joint manufacturing in the defense industries and the training of human cadres in accordance with the latest standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, pointing out that this cooperation took place in light of the plan of the Arab Organization for Industrialization to develop its products and manufacturing capabilities using the latest global technologies in The various fields of manufacturing, in addition to refining the expertise of its employees according to modern experiences in various fields.

 

The team also clarified that the areas of cooperation enhance investment opportunities and trade exchange between Egypt and China, stressing that the factors for developing areas of cooperation between the two countries are available, in light of the strength and durability of political relations between the two countries and the presence of a developed industrial base in Arabic for industrialization.

 

For their part, senior officials of the Chinese company Norinco praised the expertise of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the manufacturing and human capabilities, and its ability to develop technology by scientific methods to achieve the highest rates of local manufacturing in accordance with international quality systems, stressing that the Egyptian market is large and promising and constitutes a strategic importance for the Arab and African region.
